Ampleforth's governance token (FORTH) and AMPL itself have performed abysmally the past year. FORTH has been on a downtrend since the first 2 weeks of its launch and AMPL has been in negative rebases for more than positive in the same period. The Ampleforth experiment as a global currency to replace the current monetary system seems to be decades or centuries ahead of its time or simply not practical. It's application with the current DeFi ecosystem has equally been suboptimal so far.
