There's only one way to stay truly anonymous in crypto when buying or selling #crypto to fiat... And that is, look for someone in your locality to sell your coins to who will pay you with cash or via bank transfer. No #KYC needed for a one-on-one transaction because no centralized platform involved. However, in the absence of an individual to deal with physically, to buy or sell crypto to fiat on any platform will require KYC. #cryptocurrency

A bank transfer wouldn't be completely anonymous though... at least you might need to explain to the taxman where this extra income came from! Cash is certainly better if you're looking for anonymity.
And that doesn't end there. If you have any one Central exchange account KYC'd, any transaction from there can be traced to identify you. Tornado Cash in Ethereum saw a good demand I think because it somewhat eliminates those links
