What's the difference between a pump and dumps scheme and a rug pull...? Are you also mixing this two up? Let's clear it up. Rug pulls requires removing liquidity for a coin or token on an exchange (DEX) and thus making it impossible for investors to sell. Pump and dumps on the other hand entails manipulating the price of a coin or token to go up significantly which attracts new buyers. Then the team dumps or sell a large amount of the coin, crashing the price to almost irrecoverable levels. New investors who bought the coin out of FOMO and at the all time high (ATH) price will be left waiting for any future pump to make profit or sell at the current low price and cut their losses. For a pump and dump scheme, liquidity may still be in the pools. But the price will be heavily tanked. While rug pulls removes liquidity from the pool and makes the token untradable. Both are #scams... #cryptocurrency #crypto
