Bitcoin Weekly (8/1/2022) Bitcoin (BTC) ended July and entered August today with a major battle between the bulls and the bears taking place. The largest cryptocurrency ended the week at its highest point since mid-June after finishing off its best month of the year in July and overall the best month since last October up around 16.95%. That looks even better when you consider the prior three months returns with April at -17.3%, May at -15.6% and June at -37.3%. Bitcoin once…

My Passive Income Stream (August Edition) I wanted to start a new monthly article feature focused on my passive income journey, welcome to the first in the series. I've seen others post their monthly "earnings" so I wanted to change it up by looking at this from a passive income viewpoint. Passive income has also become a passion of mine since first getting involved in DeFi about six months ago with an investment in The Animal Farm. These articles will tell the tale of how I…

Earn free ALEPH on Coinbase I don't use Coinbase a ton but it is nice to earn some free tokens on there every once in awhile. They have just added the Aleph.im lesson to earn more free crypto so why not. This will just be a short little article to let you know about Aleph and earn some yourself. https://www.coinbase.com/learning-rewards https://aleph.im/ https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/aleph-im There are three lessons in total, each taking about a minute to complete. What…

Bitcoin Weekly (8/8/2022) Bitcoin (BTC) entered August looking like it may have turned a corner and the first week of the month has done little to dismiss this notion. There hasn't been a big move in price either way, but rather BTC looks to have solidified the current price level. Bitcoin has done a nice job staying above key bear market support levels as BTC hit another weekly high since June with another green candle for the week. The question dominating economic circles…

CPI Figures, Fed Rate Hikes and Your Crypto Portfolio Finally, good news on the inflation front. Today's CPI Report showed inflation was flat month-over-month from June to July after rising for a number of months this year. Inflation in the US did rise 8.5% in July as compared to a year ago, however, this was below analyst expectations that were primarily coming in around 8.7% when averaging all the analyst estimates. https://www.bls.gov/news.release/cpi.nr0.htm The majority…

Update on my two most "degen" crypto investments After my birthday in April I got the urge to get more degen. In mid-April I wrote and article titled I've Become a DeFi Degenerate and the journey began. I was pretty worried about the rabbit hole that I was going into, but after getting involved with two projects I decided that was enough for awhile and I was likely to lose about all of the nearly $1,000 I put into it. It wasn't enough to hurt me financially as I adhered to…

Bitcoin Weekly (8/15/2022) Bitcoin (BTC) had another solid week as the third quarter has looked much better than the first two of the year. The world's largest cryptocurrency did top $25K for the first time since June before falling back down to it's current level. Bitcoin enters a quiet week ahead with no major macroeconomic news expected, the last such week of the summer. Not much news is expected out of the US this week so unless we get something unforeseen out of Europe…

Addicted to Creating NFTs It started out innocently enough as just an experiment to pass some time and learn about NFTs. But now, I can't stop... Collection after collection being created and this is just the start of my NFT journey, something I never expected. No, I'm no artist but beauty is in the "eye of the beholder" and in the NFT world the beholders are no art experts so perhaps my "art" can fit in. I don't really care about selling NFTs, I just want to create them and…

Bitcoin Weekly (8/22/2022) Bitcoin (BTC) had a down week after being in the green for several weeks in a row. We are changing the stats, looking at the weekly close numbers as of Sunday instead of at Monday's publication time to give us a standard timeframe each week for comparison purposes and to be in line with generally accepted weekly numbers. Bitcoin had its worst week in two months as global markets decided to turn risk off and move away from risky assets like crypto.…

Baatz - my 5th NFT Collection includes a FREE one for you! I'm new to the NFT game but as I wrote in my last article I'm Addicted to Creating NFTs. Yesterday I finally got the MacBook Air that I ordered back in July so you can bet the last 24 hours I've been banging away on my new keyboard creating new NFTs while getting all my crypto stuff set up on the laptop. I set up Metamask and connected it to the ten plus crypto sites I do a variety of tasks on including yield…

Reactor - Greed is Good I'm a fan of yield farming, it is one of my favorite aspects of crypto. My personal favorite DeFi protocols is called EMP Money, a tomb fork in which their native token (EMP) is pegged to Ethereum (ETH) - one of my favorite coins. Funny thing is, while I do yield farm within the ecosystem, my favorite part of their system isn't their yield farms but rather something called the Detonator. On Saturday August 28th at 8:10 EST, EMP Money is launching a…

Bitcoin Weekly (8/29/2022) Bitcoin (BTC) tumbled below $20K once again after a rough week for most assets before climbing back up over the mark today. Bitcoin took a bit of a beating thanks to a couple of factors last week. The Federal Reserve signaled a hawkish stand on inflation at Jackson Hole letting global bankers now they are looking to continue to raise interest rates. Hopefully, they will stay quiet until their September rate hike announcement towards the end of next…

Koncept Kars - my 6th NFT Collection includes a FREE one for you! Although I was born in England, I grew up in Detroit. My father was in the car industry, primarily working as a tool and die engineer for Chrysler. He traveled the world solving issues with massive die machines in the factories. He spent a lot of time in the Detroit area along with nearby Canada, but went to the plants in Mexico all the time where he made a lot of friends. He would also spend months at a time…
