In fact, every portrait with emotion added to it is a portrait of the artist; not the model. The model is just a means, a coincidence. What the painter reveals is not the model; What is really revealed on the painted canvas is the painter himself. The reason I don't want to exhibit this picture is the fear of revealing the secret of my soul.
