It's been months... Gaza has been burning in fire for months. What is this called? War? Blockade? Is it a crime against humanity? A war without rules? Massacre? To be forgotten? Jihad? There is no exact name for this... Chemical weapons, bombs, shattered people, thousands of babies, children, women and men who are suddenly called "corpses"... Our shameless language gives so many names to these events... Many people... We are too weak to say "martyr".. We are helpless.. We have been disgraced, we have become degraded, we have ceased to be human.. Most of the time, we have forgotten, we have gotten used to it.. We condemned, condemned, condemned.. we condemned without getting tired. Have we ever thought that we would be condemned? Are we not the ones worthy of blame? How many nights have we lost our sleep wondering how we will be held accountable? How many martyrs do we need to ask for forgiveness to be worthy of forgiveness? There are thousands, millions of questions. There is no definitive answer to any of them. While the believers there are burning in fire, falling apart and meeting their Lord, they may be asking God for martyrdom again and again. They have been saved from this ugly, worthless narrow world, which is a place of testing. What about our worthless wishes and desires? What do we deserve from now on? I cannot find an answer to any of these and hundreds of similar questions. I don't have the face to find it.. we can't even manage to condemn our own selves so that we can do this.. I still want to be forgiven.. You are the one who sees my helplessness.. Forgive me and us, God... Neither my thoughts, nor my voice, nor the paths of my feet are the solution. God, accept our prayers, our repentance, and our requests for forgiveness, which are our only weapons.
