As we always say in crypto DYOR or Do Your Own Research. I would say that this is also relevant to politics and so many things in the current world we are living in. Do not trust, research. Be skeptical. And do not take for granted what you see on the news no matter where they originate from.

Politics affects everything my friend
Very true! And much more than one can think of. I am not sure but I think I read somewhere that you were from Syria?
Yes, from Syria, which is wounded and tired, but it will remain the most precious to my heart
Wounded and tired is an understatement. Mind if I ask you one or two questions about Syria? You really do not have to but I am really curious about your country as all the people I have met from there were so nice and yet very secretive.
I am very frank and in my life I did not lie, and I will answer frankly. Please ask what you want
Again, you do not have to answer if you do not want to. Did you feel like the government of Bashar al-Assad is really a bad one? Meaning that are you feeling oppressed by the government or that it is alright although not perfect of course?
I do not know you and I do not even know if you are Syrian, but I will answer frankly, even though I am a Christian, but I saw with my own eyes what happened. Believe me, it was not Bashar al-Assad who started the killing. Believe me, they are the extremists of Islam. They killed and cut off our relatives and members of our army. With the system because it protected us from the actions of demons, you may not like my opinion, but I am not lying
And to answer your first question, no I am not Syrian. I am a french speaking Canadian from Quebec who lived for the last decade in Thailand and married a Vietnamese wife. So I am basically a human with not much affiliation to a nation, religion, or ethnic group...

I believe every word you wrote. Who would I be if I didn't believe the words of someone who lived through it? As far as extremists this is not new, it is happening in many other countries. So basically the government of Bashar al-Assad was somehow keeping the country safe from those extremists?
Yes, believe me, he was defending his people and his army, and they forced him to use violence. Did you know that I was exposed to a rocket-propelled grenade? I almost died, and every day car bombs exploded. The last thing they say was peaceful demonstrations. They are liars, but unfortunately the media marketed them and made Bashar al-Assad the terrorist and thug.
I did not know about the RPG!?!?! That is crazy. Glad you are safe from it. But it must be a very traumatising experience. I feel bad for you. That is exactly what I was wondering. But I wanted to read it from a Syrian person I trusted. I do not know you much really, like anything, but I see your posts and I know what you do for a living so I thought I would ask for your opinion which I trust. And yes, this is what I have seen on the media and I guess what helped him at the time is that Russia supported him.
Thank you for your kind words, yes Russia is now in my city since it came and we are safe no more shelling, thank you my friend
Thank you for your replies and honesty. Wish you the best!
