The rewards system on Splinterlands has been updated. Any account will not earn DEC token if its uses the full starter cards in a rank battle. This gonna be tricky because starter cards are still there in the selection panel. You can only earn the full percent of the rewards if only chaos legion cards are all in the team battle. This update is to minimize those bot accounts that already pre-set to use the started cards. My conclusion, goodbye bots! #Splinterlands

My conclusion: goodbye fresh players who just want to try things out without investment first. This is just a greedy move against small players, as they are forced to either leave or buy in with bigger bucks if they want to earn something.
TBH i am just in bronze level and still i am earning DEC for every win battle. For new players it needs to be atleast bronze 2 in order to gain DEC token.
I earned more DEC with trading cards than with battles
