This is a photograph I took many years back (probably close to 15 years now). I took this one year while on a camping trip with my grandparents, uncle, and cousins. On the doc fishing is my uncle and cousin. I did edit the photo a bit to make the colors more saturated; closer to what my eyes saw. NEW Design! I created this just the other day using GIMP. How did I make it? I started by making the background. I used my "Aurora" brushes and went with reds, oranges and yellows for the colors. Not typical aurora colors but I wanted to do something different. Then, I added the silhouettes that you see - the land, dancer, tree, and ballet shoes. After that, I placed the moon in the corner. I like to add that later so I can pick the best place for it - as well as size. Sometimes I like the moon to be smaller and in the corner, sometimes I like it to be huge and right in the center. Just depends on the design. Then, I added the sparkles (I guess you could say) coming from the dancer's hands. I thought that would be a fun addition. I hope that I have not shared this one yet. I haven't shared kaleidoscopes/mandalas in a while so thought I would share one for a change. I made this one using Corel Paintshop Pro x4. That is the version from 10 years ago, lol. I like that version and don't plan to upgrade anytime soon. Same with GIMP, I have been using the same version for over 10 years. No, my hair is not blonde like in the photo currently. However, I would like to go back to blonde at some point. However, I am trying to decide what to do next with my hair. I just bought a bright red color, wondering if I should just do that all over? Do some red, some pink, some purple? Should I do red at the top and fade to red as sort of "fire" look?
