I got the most expensive rare card from the new reward set yesterday in the Venari Wavesmith from the daily quest rewards in Splinterlands (https://tinyurl.com/523j22e5). I can't help but feel it's seriously overrated even though the Protect ability giving 2 armor to all monsters is really powerful. Single cards are going for 7.7$ now while there are 136k cards in circulation with only 8.67% of them being printed. With a total diluted print rate of 2 Million of them, this means that the market cap of just this card would be over 15 Million dollars. Feels like a good time to take a bit more profit especially since these cards don't contribute that much toward airdrop points. #Splinterlands

Isn't it worth to max it out? I mean, I understand what you say about higher leagues and printing volume. But, even maxed out wouldn't be a worthy card in higher leagues? That's what I meant to ask.
I'm not sure about the higest leagues, but as a gold/diamond player this is not really the card I can see making the difference
I understand, it's difficult for me to visualize the god-level cards they are using at those levels. Sometimes when I watch tourneys and streams I get surprised for the kind of stuff they play
