Looks like I still got quite some work cup out for me in order to complete my Chaos Legion Collection. I'm only using earnings from within the ecosystem though and most of the expensive cards (Summoners & Legendaries) I already have gotten complete. Did you ever consider cycling packs? Like, purchase them through the shop to get airdrop points, then try to sell the cards to at least cover the pack's cost? There's definitely people doing this, judging from all the market bots we witness, AND I'm surprised on how effective this has been serving me to build myself a decent collection. I've managed to get 3 Golden Foils in about 1k packs, but I did not spend near the amount you need for 1000 packs (230 in game shop, the rest through hive engine) The only reason I ask is because I just pulled another Golden Djinn Muirat and this one I REALLY don't want to sell, but I'm reluctant to also keep throwing more money at the game. Just wondering what your thoughts are about cycling packs, because you are likely one of the most metodic and statistically aware players in the game I know, man. Sorry if it's a though question or a hassle, and you really don't have to answer if you don't feel like its relevant. (I'll admit I'm mildly intoxicated as I'm writing this lol...)
Honestly, I have never really considered it or that it can be profitable. There are just so many factors and by default, I'm not really a pack buyer. I rather just get what I need the most on the market at prices I think are more or less affordable. Just the fact that a '4$ pack' has quite a small chance to get a legendary while they generally can be bought way below that price makes it hard for me to really see the value in packs. The airdrop for sure provides value though but at the same time, everyone expected the new legendary summoner to go for a lot more.
Couple of things: in my case, it's more a strategy to build up the collection, as I was pretty much coming from zero Collection Power. I'm also not buying the packs at $4. I am purchasing them with DEC and trying to be careful to only purchase when DEC value is below $0.0006. This makes the cost for a pack just a little above $2. What I am doing is leveling the summoners and most common/rare cards, and selling the more valuables. Then use that DEC to cycle more packs. It's kind of working for me. I can tell you I've invested around 1K euro, and my collection power is at around USD 900 right now. But I've secured 610 packs through the store, which should at least be enough to get me a couple normal legendaries and hopefully a gold foil one? Also managed to get Thaddius and Keliya to level 5 already, and now working on Tarsa. Have to say it's kind of working for me, right now. I've pulled so far 4 Gold Foil Legendaries. But you're right, there are for sure too many factors. And this is only viable right now because the DEC price is so low, perhaps. I also wouldn't do it if it weren't to get my Summoners to level 5, perhaps.
nice, to see you managed to get Thaddius and Kelya to level 5 also. That's not easy to do just from buying packs. I'm sticking with selectively buying the cards on the market for now hoping I get a couple more legendary summoners from the airdrop as I do have 355 packs bought on ny counter. Good Luck!
Tarsa done too, now :) Also bulding an army of Deep Lurkers and other commons and rares, to flood the market when the time comes (hopefully!!) ;) I'm starting to think I don't want the value of DEC to go up any time soon, lol...
