The devs from Splinterlands (https://tinyurl.com/523j22e5) recently did a survey trying to find the reason why Tournaments aren't more popular in the game. To me this is as clear as day, just imagine this: Poker Tournaments where some of the best cards like aces or kings are only part of the deck for a very selective number of players leaving all the others with a big statistical disadvantage. It would be a complete joke and this is pretty much how Tournaments work in Splinterlands.
