I bought 100+10 packs last week for ~220$ as this price point got close to a point where it was possible to instantly flip them for a profit. The fact that individual reward chests now can contain a lot of potions helped to pull the trigger as the only way to capitalize on these rewards is to actually buy & open packs I also wanted to increase my chance to get some of the legendary summoner airdrop cards. The current value of all cards from opening the packs added up to 195.51$ which means a slight loss for now. Packs on the 2nd hand market however go for 1.76$ so if you have potions and want to potentially get $$ for them it might be an idea to buy packs and sell the cards. İ am getting a lot of potions but without any advantage, until now i got about 5 packs from my daily quests and all of them were not special (1 rare, 4 commons) like almost all the packs i bought. Now i am only trying to buy cards, that packs thing is not my business anymore😂💔
I guess that was their goal with the increased potion rewards to make it so that the value goes to players that are spending more. If DEC goes lower again I might get another batch just to have enough to guarantee an airdrop card. I guess they got me good with their money milking strategies. Good thing is that all money comes from profit made with the game so in a way it feels free :-)
Yes it's obvious that they are attracting people into buying more, and it's good for the game. Fun thing that i have just got a pack from my quest and i am affraid of opening it. Lol
