Some interesting stats from making the most recent Battle Challenge in Splinterlands (https://tinyurl.com/523j22e5) which features the old Haunted Spider card is that the total available Max Level Older Common Cards is 790 while the new reward Legendary cards will have a total of over 18k Max Levels available. So old common cards are 23x rarer compared to new Legendary cards. New players are much better with the new cards just to build their collection power though.
