It is as of now unrealistic for people to live for all time on the moon. The moon has no air to safeguard against radiation and temperature limits, and there is no fluid water or breathable air. Nonetheless, NASA and other space organizations have plans to lay out a lunar base later on that would consider transient stays on the moon. NASA's Artemis program expects to land people on the moon by 2024 and lay out a feasible presence there.
