You do realize that the 12.5% will be coming off BTC BCH and BSV right? From all pools involved
Reducing mining rewards by 12.5% means the BCH hashrate drops by 12.5% - what you pay is what you get. It has the same effect as the BCH price going down 12.5%. The halving (which will happen before the May upgrade) will have much more impact.
Yes, a drop of 12+% of hash is expected. BCH hash is low already due to the price, so we rely on BCH-Friendly BTC-Miners for defense against hash attacks anyway. This drop will not matter much.
