Yesterday one of my customers came in with her daughter and they were driving up to Gainesville at the University of Florida they were having a native plant sale. Before she left she told me that’s what they were doing and she was gonna come back and surprising me with a plant well this is what she brought me it’s called a firebush attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Then I notice the few of my sunflowers are starting to get buds on them slowly my Gardens at my workplace…

My dose of Mornings nature starts off with a little tour of some of the flowers that are blooming in my garden. Then for some reason the bluebirds have a fascination with the top of the light pole I don’t know if there’s a little bit of water that’s accumulated in the top of it or some insects that are pulling out of there.
I just picked a bunch of Loquats for Mr. T and for Mrs. T who came over to me and try to bite me on the leg begging for food so I brought her a bunch also. If this fruit trees we’re not I’ve been here on this property just maybe Mr. T wouldn’t of been hit but then who knows about a few miles down the road I seen a tortoise that was hit Laying on the side of the road.
Now this is a awesome and beautiful place to visit Wakodahatchee Wetlands if you are in South Florida precisely if you’re in the Delray Beach Florida area in the Spring February to March the birds are all gathering in building nest or sitting on eggs with all their colors exposed when trying to attract a mate. This photograph is of a great egret the largest of the egrets.
This afternoon I thought I would take a ride out into the Ocala National Forest hoping to see some wildlife but of course before I did that I stopped by where I work at watered my plants feed the cats then off I went. Didn’t see to much other then a deer 🦌 that darted out into the dirt road then off back into the Forest. I did get a good sunset after driving on the Forest roads for a hour.
Good Morning my morning started off of course getting up and having a good cup of coffee then taking my brother to work I decided instead of going home I’d go over to the local wet lands park to see what kind of bird life I would see there. There was a lot of Black belly whistling ducks and couple of mallard ducks if you great egrets and little blue herons
From this morning’s walk getting that exercise and fresh air the same time photographing some nature. Plus Black belly whistling ducks sitting at the top of an old dead pine tree. At the Ocala wetlands recharge park.
After I got back from my walk over at the park I went over to my mom‘s and took Bella out to use the restroom when we came back in she wanted to play she grabbed her little kitty and started shaking it and having a good time with her play toy.
This morning Started off with a SpaceX falcon 9 rocket 🚀 launch putting more satellites up there in space The launchpad is approximately about 90 miles away from where I live but it was a spectacular launch phenomena when the sun is rising and hits the bloom of the rocket creates a bubble effect this is what I caught this morning. #ElonMusk #spaceX
This is a beautiful tricolored heron building her nest picking up sticks and then we have a juvenile little blue heron hi seen yesterday at the park just starting to get the bluish gray feathers then osprey enjoying a fish breakfast it's is amazing how long their claws are definitely made for catching fish.
As I was on my walk the other day at the park I noticed this hawk being chased by this other bird took some photographs and realized it was a American Kestrel he landed in this big pine tree Close by and shot a few more photographs of this beautiful feisty little Falcon.
Happy #Caturday at least for Halftale my hunter caught him playing with a rat 🐀 he get so proud of himself when he puts down his enemy I guess it’s just part of their nature.
50 more days to Alaska. So I got my tickets to go to Alaska I say about three weeks ago and I started thinking instead of having somebody drive me the two hours down to Orlando to the airport I planned on driving my own car and park it there at a place Close to the airport so I reserved me a parking spot. it’s a long flight my plane leaves at 7 PM I fly all the way to Seattle Washington have about an hour layover then a 3 1/2 hour flight from Seattle to Anchorage Alaska I…
Good News just seen Mr. T out foraging on his own but he is still struggling to use his back legs but he was using them. Then Mrs..T came over Lucky I seen her because she was right in front of a small truck and the driver did not see her I informed him that she was there and I escorted her the rest of the way to the other side of the road and I fixed some carrots for her and she came over and ate some next to my sitting chair under the shade tree.
This has to be one of the most Beautiful and graceful flyers The Swallow-tailed Kite that I have seen they fly a long the top of trees picking off insects. It's amazing that they can hover over tree tops with rarely flapping their wings. I photograph this one yesterday flying above the treetops at work. #Nature #Birds
It's getting closer to Popping open this is the biggest sunflower I have so far and probably the healthiest one. we have such sandy soil here so I’ve been buying fertilizer called Black Kow to enrich the soil so hopefully in a couple years the plants out here will be growing even better than they are now. BTW it's been a busy Monday and I ready to start my 3 days off.
Good Morning it's starting off at a comfortable 60°F at 6:23 AM The High going to be 85°F so if I'm going go for a hike I better get my self going. Hope all have a blessed Day.
I was watching this fat Cardinal gorging itself on my birdseed. This morning I had Tufted Titmouse visit also. I was going go on a hike but I woke up at 3am and I fall back to sleep for a few hours so postpone my hike until tomorrow morning.
Update we booked a night at Montana Creek campground Alaska for July 4 salmon are running rainbow trout or running Grayling and Dolly Varden sounds like I am going to get a chance to fish. Two pink salmon I caught in Hope Alaska The rainbow trout is what I'm hoping to catch Rainbow trout photo credited to Brian O’Keefe. #Fishing #Alaska
I'm out hiking Silver Springs State Park right now enjoying my day off in the shade of the Seahunt prevail named after the old TV show that was filmed here on the beautiful Silver River. do anybody remember the actor Lloyd Bridges that's Jeff Bridges‘s father.
As the day ends and the sun sets the High was a warm 83°F and as I watched the sunset it was a lovely 74°F Good Night wishing you all a restful night or a beautiful Morning.
I went by the place I work to feed the cats water the plants and other stuff just to get out and ride in the forest for a little bit also took the Eye in the Sky up also. pleasantly surprised not really to see my sunflowers opened up.
Had my niece and her husband came to visit my mom today for Mother’s Day these are her two kids sky and Isaiah with my Mom They came up from Disney World for few hour then headed back to Miami
It's supposed to be in the 90s today I’m so so ready for a few weeks in Alaska where the temperature is in the 70s for the highs in the 50s for the lows. Beautiful mountains from last September. This July while I’m there this whole area will be so green lush with fireweed flowers growing everywhere.
This made me feel a little better about Mr. T actually getting out in foraging for food on his own but still by the video I posted you can tell he’s still struggling with his back legs but he’s out eating that’s a good thing. https://youtu.be/ODVe_4ADh5c
Good Morning as I sit here at work I am totally amazed on how nature works it looked like it was gonna rain really hard before I left to go home from work. My plants really needed a good rain but again for the second day in a row it didn’t rain a drop out here so when I got home we actually flooded over there. It’s only 28 miles away but some of the streets in our park was flooded from the rain and dry as a bone out here so of course I watered my plants real good this…
This morning the cat clan of South Forest is waiting for the breakfast buffet to start it was old Miss Piggy Fluffy His brother Halftail And Miss Little Gray. Hope all are having a good and happy #Caturday
Yesterday on my way home I seen a few deer 🦌 a doe and 2 fawns but as soon as I pulled over they ran off before I could even get a photograph they ran off but tonight I seen just one so pulled off at a trail head and park there and walked into the forest real quietly. I actually could hear the deer walking underneath the trees so I sat down on the ground and waited. Then here come this Cutie walking towards me when it stopped and turned and looked in other direction I lifted…
My Saturday at work was a Quiet one to begin with for the first hour I only had two customers so I took the opportunity to walk around the property and photograph a few birds. I can hope for another Quiet day unfortunately Sundays are our most busiest days. Good Morning
I went outside for a moment and notice some pink in the sky so I had to take the eye up to catch the sunrise. It's a comfortable 71° at 7:32 AM it looks like we have a 50% chance of rain in other words 50% chance it won’t rain. 😆 have a wonderful day or evening.
Some of my photographs I took while walking in the forest this morning when I had opportunity a few wildflowers. and a dragonfly if you like to hike it has to be first thing in the morning other than that it’s way too hot.
I have watermelon growing next to my sunflowers they are growing very well the other day I seen this one it was the size of a marble within two days it quadrupled in size I guess all the rain we got made grow faster. I guess that’s why they call it watermelon.
It's Bella favorite place Not!!! At the vets getting her yearly shots it’s amazing how dogs or cats get nervous when we take them to the vets they get really nervous and shaky all over it's like they know that you’re taking them and of course Bella is no exception. Waiting to see the Doctor.
I'm out in the Ocala national Forest waiting to see SpaceX put some more satellites up but the way it is this morning quite foggy I might not see it still we will see if I get any good photographs I will post them. To watch the rocket launch 🚀 you go to this YouTube channel. https://youtu.be/dQTgX40R-IQ
One of the things I miss the most about my old home is my dragon fruit that I had growing in my backyard. This cactus produces some of the most delicious fruit to make smoothies with.
From my morning ride through the forest I did come up upon a few birds Eastern Towhee’s and Blue Jays. There was another bird cannot make it out in the photos but I think it was a northern flicker.
Walking my Garden was happy to see more flowers popping and starting to see house finches showing up and still haven’t been able to get a photograph. Catching a few Black capped chickadees. Have a awesome day or evening. #Nature #flowers #birds
It was So nice of a evening to met up with my cousin and his girlfriend went out and had a little dinner and then decided to take a ride out into the forest hoping to catch a rocket lunch tonight but again It was too cloudy and couldn’t see a thing. Did get a sunset and walked our dinner off a little.
Enjoying the fruits of nature my friend that lives close by on the hill from where I work has peach trees this morning he showed up and gave me a box of peaches I’m definitely gonna enjoy them. #Nature #Fruit #peaches
Well here come Mr. T#2 and I know he will love these Peaches as much as I do. I haven’t seen Mr. T #1 yet today hopefully he’s doing well I haven’t been here for the last three days.. If I see him I will give you all a update.
Lightning is flying around right now a booming in the sky any rains coming down but my plants are loving every bit of it. It was around 88°F range but the rain has may it a lot cooler
How sweet brothers sharing a meal together I sure wouldn’t do this with my brother lol. It’s breakfast time all four the kitties are here enjoying Kimbles and bits Happy #Caturday
It was a very foggy morning but because of the fog I could actually photograph the sun once the fog burned off I had the opportunity to photograph some Eastern Towhees.
Update: This is a update Mr. T was seen enjoying a slice of watermelon near the top of his den this morning. It was the first time I’ve seen him in over a week I believe he is going to make it. At the first chance the animal rescue center is able to take in more animals and this avian flu disappears I’m hoping they can come pick him up and give him a home and rehabilitate him to where he can live the rest of his days in a wild. #Caringforwildlife #Nature
Saturday was so much Quieter then we had yesterday it was a very busy day. So here is a few nature photographs from Saturday. The butterfly was hanging around my fire bush which is a attractor for butterfly and hummingbirds.
I bought me an espresso machine to have at work this morning I fixed me Cuban style Cortadito they say the only thing different in a espresso and a Cuban coffee is the sugar. Cortadito Is Half Cuban coffee and half milk.
Looking back at my day at Sweetwater wetlands park in Gainesville Florida. It sits on the edge of Pains Prairie where there Is a abundance of birds and to this day still wild horses and bison roam this area. Here is a great blue heron flying off with a fish in its beak then a Beautiful Limpkin posing for a photograph.
Walking around my yard this morning and just noticed my pear tree has for the first time has a couple small pairs on it. And of course a few photographs of a few other flowers that are popping around the yard. Hopefully everyone has an awesome Tuesday or had a awesome Tuesday the day is just starting here.
Well I finally had an opportunity to take my mom out for Mother’s Day we went to local barbecue place called Sonny’s. I had me a three pork platter pulled pork pork ribs and sliced pork Sweet potato cornbread coleslaw everything was so yummy.
Good Morning it’s going to another Hot and humid day but we did have a beautiful sunrise to start the day it’s a comfortable 70°F but will get over 90°F with the humidity it’s gonna feel warmer than that. How do you stay cool on a hot day? Around here we have quite a few natural springs and the water stays at a cool 72°F year round so a lot of us head to the springs to cool off.
I been Marinating some chicken for the last few days so tonight I threw them on a barbecue. Turn off the barbecue and took a plate over to my mom then I came back and realize I didn’t turn the barbecue off so my chicken burned a little bit but I still ate it and it was not to bad.
Talk to a couple yesterday that I met over at Silver Spring State Park a few week ago they were telling me that they seen a whole bunch of monkeys yesterday so I believe I’m going to take a kayak trip and see if I can catch up with the monkeys and photographs some of the babies they said they were plenty of them. The photograph is from the last time it came across the monkeys.
Well after kayaking for 3 hour and not being able to find the monkeys I did come upon A family of wood ducks. I also countered what is the biggest softshell turtles I have ever seen.
Some more photographs from my kayaking trip from yesterday morning. Notice is beautiful Eastern tiger swallowtail butterfly hanging around some of the water flowers. And a closer look at cuteness of the baby Wood ducks
More photographs from my kayaking trip I don’t know what kind of water lilies they are but they are lovely. Look underwater a couple fish swimming by the last photograph is a Limpkin.
Happy #Caturday I have a stray cat that comes in almost every evening and eats the cat food that the other cats don’t eat I started calling him sneaky every time he sees me he runs off but I never got a photograph of him untill last night.
A place where you go close to home to Connect with nature? I am so lucky to have this place five minutes from my house the Silver Springs State Park and the Silver River. Has to be one of my favorite encounters is with the wild monkeys I don’t see them every time I go out kayaking but when I do it’s a cool Encounter. And of course you always see the birds and the turtles and alligators and the fish.
I’ve been seeing these wildflowers coming to work and going home most every day and I’ve been planning on stopping and getting a photograph of them but usually I’ve either had somebody tailgating me or running a little late to work this morning I was a little bit earlier than usual and decided to I’ll pull over snap a few photographs they remind me a little sunflowers 🌻
Stopped to say hello to the local farm life. Some beautiful horses came over to say hello shortly after stopping at salvation and seen a newly born baby deer prancing around getting its legs Unfortunately didn’t have a camera with me because I had my brother with me.
Tau Herculid Meteor Shower May See 1,000s of Shooting Stars From Comet SW3 So who will be up to Watch the meteor shower tonight if we’re lucky enough will be at 1 AM EST. Pacific standard time would be 10 PM unfortunately Tuesdays are my original day off but because I had today off I got to work tomorrow but I’m tempted to get up and go see if I can see it.
I do love the way some of these sunflowers are growing some are healthy and growing well like this one with the multiple flowers. Then some of the others are not doing that great is there others out there that grow sunflowers and if so what is the secret in growing healthy sunflowers 🌻
