Life is to short to live wondering "What if?".

Life is full of uncertainties, and many people spend their time wondering what could have been. The ability to live in the present and not dwell on failures is one of the greatest gifts life has to offer. However, it's also important to be realistic about what's possible and to think about the future. Knowing where one stands can help a person make better decisions in the future.

Regret is wasted energy. It's impossible to change the past, so why waste time wishing things had gone differently? The only way to move forward is to accept what's happened and make the best of it. When we don't accept reality, we can end up repeating the same mistakes over and over. We'd be better off focusing our attention on solutions instead of past mistakes.

Not taking chances can lead to regret and depression. Many people are afraid to take chances because they're afraid of losing. However, a loss isn't failure; it's simply a chance to try again. If nothing else, a loss provides valuable experience that can help you in future endeavors. Not every risk pays off, but that just means you need to try harder next time.

Justifying our decisions to ourselves makes it easier to live with them. When we make decisions based on self-justification, we are less likely to examine our reasoning processes. We can't always rely on our reasoning; sometimes we need external support- such as a friend or advisor- to help us make smart choices. Being able to justify our decisions allows us to live with peace of mind and often leads us to make good choices.

Some believe that regret is an inevitable part of life. Regret is inevitable because some things are worth being eternally dissatisfied with. It's impossible for anyone to achieve everything they want, but that doesn't mean we should be unhappy with the things we have now. If life were easy, everyone would do well in it.

Others believe that life is too short to spend it worrying about what might have been. Going after our dreams can lead to disappointment and heartache in the short term. Not every decision leads us toward happiness; there are risks involved with almost every decision we make in life. Sometimes, we just have to accept reality as it is and move on with our lives- no matter how disappointed we are with it.

Some people believe that justifying decisions makes them more effective than self-justification does. While self-justification may work in some cases, others prove more difficult to justify. For example, if someone justifies cheating on their spouse due to bad circumstances, their reasoning process may not be effective in the long run.

Life is full of uncertainties because we don't always know what will happen next. However, it's important not to dwell on past failures or disappointments because they won't change how we live today. It's also important not to deny reality when bad situations occur because doing so can only hurt us in the long run. Knowing where one stands allows us to assess risks and make smarter decisions so we can be happy with the results of our actions today and tomorrow.

In the end we only regret the chances we didn't take
