Some thoughts on how one can get rewarded more for their creative content

Hello everybody! This started as a comment, but quickly escalated into a full article! (Yep, that's typical me... 😸) The comment was for a conversation on the subject of the differences between the system/ ways one can earn rewards here and on other rewarding Social Media & Blogging platforms, like Noise.cash, Publish0x & Hive.

My observations from my personal experience are that on Read.cash , Publish0X (haven't written anything there yet, I joined very recently and still have to apply for being an author so I am just assuming for it) & Hive - Leo and the other front ends of the Hive Ecosystem one has to do several things to succeed in terms of rewards:

- Surely we have to write original content. Not necessarily articles that go on for pages, I suppose that even smaller ones can do the trick, but the more personal and meaningful - unique they are, the better.

- Good exploration and usage of Communities, Topics, Hashtags or whatever their term is on each platform.

- Socializing with other people that we like their content by upvoting, tipping, sharing and writing meaningful comments - engaging to conversations. This one has the side benefit that we may find new friends all over the world eventually.

- Sharing on traditional Social Media like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest etc depending on our country or our preferable audience's country (for example Russia & China have their own ones).

If we use the correct hashtags or post in respective communities in a not spammy way there, people will find our articles and either upvote if they are already members and they like them, or maybe join and follow - support us!

Side benefit that most of those platforms have referral programs. For example if you copy the link from the end of your article - you share it elsewhere and someone signs up, they are your referee now and you earn a percentage of what they do. This is extra rewards for us.

- Patience. Not in the sense of giving all you've got every single day and do nothing else, but maybe spend a weekend to write - create the content of the week (doing concentrated work helps in many ways - even though I personally am the spontaneous type) and then post one each day/ each other day.

Also upcycle your content. You can post the same thing on all platforms and choose a small chunk of them - the most descriptive/ catchy phrase of it to post it along with the link on the most Twitter-like socials.

Success will come eventually if you don't give up and if you engage in a trial and error strategy - observe what works and what not, and - very important - if you adopt the mindset of having fun and a good time on these platforms too.

After all they still have the concept of being Social Media and the idea is that here we have the ability to earn rewards in contrast with the traditional ones where we only give and take nothing in return.

- Extra intel: Here in Read I have observed that there is a feature called Sponsors, where you can ask people to sponsor you financially for your articles. Of course this one is only for completely original content, but it may be of help to check it out! Here is the link that explains how: Get Sponsors

Yeah thanks for sharing Christina. I am currently thinking how to segregate content because I have many interests. But your post is great in helping to develop a strategy for honest creators. Cheers!

Hi @ChristinaMadart! Great article and comprehensive, with useful tips for Publish0x, Hive and ReadCash... I am looking forward to finding your articles on Publish0x too, when the time comes...

Sometimes it's not an easy road (unless you get lucky, and get a tip like $11,000 out of nowhere haha!). . Of course, sometimes (or at least if you have patience and perseverance) what you get out is what you get back... I am not talking for me on this, but for those like you who write original content but get a lot less than the known example of the 11,000.. NoiseCash could make some adjustments on the platform to make it more fair for those writing original content... For example, making a limit to how much someone can tip someone else, so if he would like to send like 15,000 on tips, he could send/divide them to like 10-100 or more people, and not like what we see on the lottery games (I work on a lottery shop where one person gets all the money). If they fix this, then more people could start writing original articles!

I will try to slowly adjust my game h ere. But will focus more on other types of platforms like NoiseCash and Uhive that suit my style more. I don't like writing or reading a lot, unless what I share truly has some quality. On the past I have made a lot of mini articles of not-original (but great spiritual quality content that share my views) on fb, but they are in Greek and I don't have the power to translate them accurately.

On the other hand, I am still clinging to quotations because 1) Even if they are not original, they have the greatest level of quality that I have ever seen. And 2) a lot of what I have seen of original content, is just original but they lack in (great/transformative) quality. Many of them are just opinions (like saying that Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin).

On the other hand, of course many quotes can be of much lesser quality or be untrue or just opinions. That's what separates the common from the exceptional.

Thank you so much Underwarrior, I am happy to share thoughts and tips that can help even more people find their way to blogging - creation and earning for it!

I will surely start publishing in Publish0x too, but most probably until the end of the week as it is getting too much to handle at once, it needs a little organizing and prioritizing! 😹

Surely, there are some lucky ones that get a whole bunch of money in an easy way (at least it may seem easy for the external observers, we don't know a person's path that led them where they are now) and there are the rest of us who usually have to struggle a good deal to make our efforts matter. But what I know from a personal - longtime analysis and observation is that if you have a mixture of good mentality on what you do plus the (acquired, not necessarily pre-existing) skills of observing, analyzing, persistence and trial & error and you are on a field that aligns with your strengths - interests and has potentials to grow, it is really rare to not succeed. It is natural to get bugged when you see someone making 11k with an article, but it does not help you in any particular way to focus into it, except if you are trying to analyze what he did and do it too (and again all negative emotions have to stay out of the door if you plan to do this, otherwise your vision is in danger of being clouded by them).

In my opinion we can expect from platforms to do only so many changes as there are in their strategy and goals and from a certain point it is our job to choose every one of them for what they can offer and eventually align with them if we want to succeed in them. Maybe other new platforms will evolve in the near future that will have other kind of systems that are more fair on the matter you are referring to. And indeed, Noise and UHive are a lot more friendly to what you say and that's a great thing!

I strongly believe though that you can create some smaller content of your everyday life like surfing and your interests / experiences without giving more effort than you are ready to at the time. You have things to say and it doesn't need to be top quality, I believe that as long as you are speaking your own truth and vision there will be people that will resonate with it! Above all though, you should be in alignment with yourself, your strengths, goals and what you are willing to do and evolve them in the best way for you!

Quote-wise I can see your point and the counter-points are that usually these platforms have a logic of being rewarded for something that you have created on your own (maybe finding it unethical to get paid on someone else's work - as annoying as seeing someone get paid 11k for an article). Also most of them are overseen over the internet for really long periods and maybe people are sometimes more possible to resonate - take a life-changing turn with a simple person's input and personal story that inspires them (because they feel closer to them than to huge personalities and achievers). So the transformative quality of the content is really a multifactor thing, I personally can't say with certainty what works for everyone or for the majority!

Hi my friend! I agree with everything you said! Unfortunately, surfing has taken a bad turn for some months now, and there is another challenge... That I am not allowed by other people to speak about it, because it would expose our local spots and then there would not be enough space to surf, because we have 2 or 3 spots that only one works at a time, and there is not enough space for enough people in the lineup (the lineup gets really too crowded when there are more than 4 people surfing there).. Also there is the disadvantage of not being in an ocean, the waves are smaller here and much more rare.. This year things are even worse because we can't travel far enough to surf in spots outside our 'Ξ½ΞΏΞΌΟŒΟ‚', because of the fear of the 300euros of penalty and the economical costs of gus (because we are not allowed to work to have money for gus)..

Wow, that's an interesting fact Underwarrior about the surfing spots, several hobbies or jobs like fishing have this issue with good spots so I guess you indeed have to be careful with what you are sharing.. I hope that this whole thing with the lockdowns ends soon enough so that among other things for all of us you are able to travel in nearby places too and surf wherever you like! 🌞
