Happy New Year everybody! Best wishes to everyone for all the best to come in your lives and your crypto portfolios! 😺 A little (or big) Splinterlands question for the seasoned and strategic ones of you! What is the best strategy to follow in regards of investing in and managing your in-game #tokens? What I mean: I was able to swap an amount of fiat for SPS and DEC and I want the best results in regards to earning more SPS per day from the airdropped ones, as well as Vouchers for #ChaosUnleashed . Some of the amount I have used to buy #SPS now that it's dipping and a smaller one I converted to #DEC , #hodling it at the moment in order to get more SPS per day and waiting for it to reach a decent amount in order to buy cards with as big Card Power as possible, so that I can stop renting the expensive ones to reach higher leagues (I don't care if the cards are at a high CP from their first level or if I have to buy more ones of the same monster and level them up, what I care for is to get the best CP value for money). Tokens-wise, my question is: If you had an amount of SPS, would staking them in-game bring more Chaos Legion vouchers (and is it worth it to wait for it to get dropped/ is it better to buy it from Hive Engine/ Atomic Hub/ elsewhere), or would you convert some of the SPS to DEC in order to get more SPS every day? I know I have put it "somewhat" complicated, I couldn't write it more plainly because I am confused about my options, but in general the question behind the questions is: How do you manage your in-game invested money token-wise to get the best results - all aspects considered? Happy New Year @ChristinaMadart! Best wishes to you, too! I can tell you for anyone else, but I'm sitting on my DEC to get more SPS and I'm staking those sweet sweet SPS. I don't want to touch my SPS for anything in this world, it will be a huge drive for Splinterlands economy in the future! I can smell it! Warning: This is not financial advice, just my opinion!
Hey there @cpol , thanks for the insight! Started following the same strategy today as Butterfly and you both hinted! Gathering as many DEC as I can and holding them in-game, spending as little as possible but at the same time taking advantage of the higher league I can support (for more chests and DEC rewards) without overspending! As for the SPS that I am getting daily, half of them I am going to stake and the other half swap for DEC when the prices are better!
That's great! I bet you have lots of SPS by now! Unfortunately, I have so little, there are people out there with thousands!! I wish you can stake many more!!!
Thanks @cpol ! I only recently bought more SPS , staked some of them and yesterday converted most of the rest of them in DEC! I'll keep adding to both tokens from now on (mostly by swapping on Hive Engine my Starbits from Rising Star and some of my earnings from here) and see how this goes! I hope you'll be able to gather and stake loads of them too! 🌞
Thank you so much for your kind wishes! I will try to do it. That's an interesting strategy. I don't play other blockchain games, besides Splinterlands. However, I've seen other people successfully using their income in those other games and reusing them in Splinterlands... Maybe I need to investigate further into this!

Oh no @ChristinaMadart!!! Why you didn't tell me about this yesterday!?!?! I mean, after all these months ignoring Rising Stars, I had yesterday register!! I would gladly used your invitation u_u What a bummer! However, I would love to start around it. The thing is yesterday I got a Daphne as a twitter gift I got in a dynamic. So, I just signed in to watched it! I'm dumb! So, sorry Christina! ;_;
Haha, it's ok @cpol, no problem at all! Glad you did register and I think that you're going to like it, I was ignoring it too for a very long time but now I am enjoying it a lot! At the beginning focus on doing as many Illegal Busking missions as possible (it is the only one you will be able to do during the first days due to Level & Fans demands of the other ones), but even as you grow a little, I have had as an advice when I was starting to do many of them until I reached Level 10, because that is when you start having the Ego stat (your fans total against your skills total)! When you gather enough Starbits you can buy some Pizza Boxes & Cold Pizza Slice from the marketplace in order to be able to do more missions as the bigger ones are more energy consuming! As for the skills, at the beginning you can get more of it by doing Music Lessons (do more Singing lessons if you have more Mic cards and Guitar lessons if you have more guitar/ bass ones)! When you have Starbits, you can choose the best cards that there are in the marketplace at the time that have a lot of Skills and less Fans! Also - on the other hand, when some missions ask many fans in order to make them and you don't want to wait for the stars to align- your energy to be high enough while having many drunk fans, you can buy cards with fans or with a combination of them and skills! At first glance it seems a little demanding in regards to buying cards in order to reach higher levels, but if you take one step at a time and only buy when you have accumulated the necessary Starbits - research for the most proper card, you get very quickly back what you gave to buy it and more! I will surely write a guide at some point where I will have all this info and more in a more organized manner, but it's good for starting! And if you have any question drop a comment and I'll help!
Thank you so much! It sounds a little overwhelming... I'm going to begin with the Illegal Basking mission, I saw it yesterday but I ignored it and closed the game as soon as I checked I had the card. I've heard Drabs and Luthien love the game so much, but I was like... "uhmm, it doesn't look so tempting to me..." all this time. I think I only need to focus on it for a couple of hours to get hooked up! Lol! Thank you so much for writing so much! I'm going to begin with that and check it from time to time to advance on it! A guide in a blog style like in #HIVE would be awesome!!!
You're welcome @cpol ! Yes, it was un-interesting for me too at the beginning because it felt overwhelming and I wasn't understanding my options to have good progress! I had to take my time and re-visit when my head was more clear and I had the time to explore it thoroughly, but now I am loving it! Thank you so much, @ChristinaMadart! Today I reached to level 7!!! I was doing lots of Illegal Busking and Open Mic Night. I even had a couple Mid Week Support Slot. I want to do more those, but I had not enough energy. For some reason, I can't buy anything from market. When I click the Pizza card option, it appears nothing. I don't know where I can buy things in there. Something that is annoying me about the game is every time I had to login I had to do it twice, I don't know why. What am I doing wrong!? Congratulations @cpol ! Haha, I had the same problem with you and was banging my head to walls for some time too before I understood that in order to buy something from the marketplace I had to withdraw my Starbits to https://hive-engine.com/ ! 😸 You can see the screenshots on how to do that, right now I don't have the option available to withdraw because you can only do so from 1000 and up (I have already withdrawn mine and it's under 1000 in-game), but you will have the option! You have to wait 1 - 10 minutes for them to arrive in Hive Engine, so don't freak out if they leave your account in-game and you don't see them for some minutes! When they are visible in Hive Engine you can buy cards! About the login that needs to be done twice, it happens to me too from time to time, I don't know why but I got used to it! 😸 The sure thing I know is that whenever your IP address changes (the router does a re-start or you log in from a different device) you get logged out and you have to put your username again and each time you open your browser after closing it, you have to enter your Hive Keychain password!
I did it!!!! I bought 1 Fan boost card Ha ha ha! I didn't know how to do it, but you taught me!! Thank you so much!!!! Now... I don't know what to do with that card!!! Ha ha ha!
Haha, that's great! 😸 You don't have to do anything, as long as the card is in your account, it adds the stats to your profile, now you have one more permanent fan (not like the ones that when they wake up they forget everything about you)! 😹 I don't remember how much this one costs, but it is more cost effective to buy Person cards that have either only fans or a combination of fans, skills, luck and maybe IM (the last one is a stat that's not yet implemented into the game)! I would consider re-selling the Fan Booster card and saving Starbits for buying a more rewarding one! I'll comment at some point tomorrow when I access my pc again the best ones I found in regards to cost and benefits, because now I closed it and I don't remember their names! 🌞 And at some point you'll need to buy pizza boxes to store the pizzas you find in order to use them whenever you want, as well as some Cold Slice Pizza cards will help you keep doing missions for almost the whole day without having to wait for your energy to refill organically!
Yeah, my intention was to buy a pizza card but it costed like 10,000 Starbits! This one costed me only 990 Starbits. I have already a Daphne card that I won on a twitter uhmmm... "activity", but I didn't know how to use it. When I bought this fan card the whole thing updated when I activated the pop-ups for the Rising Star game and now I have my Daphne and my Fan showing up in my account!!! Thank you so much for your advice with the game!!! It's pretty funny in a different way to Splinterlands. I like the fact you can begin a mission and forget about it until later. I even converted 10 bits to HIVE, but that wasn't wise, at all. Maybe someday that card worth more than 1000 bits and I can recover those Starbits. Maybe I could buy something more useful with my next Starbits. I wanted a Luthien card, but it's way to expensive for me, right now. Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it!

Thanks @AlexVan ! Did you manage to gather Voucher from the drop or are you buying them from the market? It's still unclear to me how many options there are to get packs and which are the best ones!
I'm getting them from the drop, and from a mathematical point of view, it is better to wait till the end of the presale 2, as packs will cost $4 not $6.xx like now. Voucher I intend to use for the bonus packs and maybe buy them from the market for the bonus packs, if they stay under $4. If they get over $4, it is a direct sale and will buy without the bonus packs.
Thanks @AlexVan , I have heard that once again some time ago and I am considering it too, I am just getting super confused with the dates and the chances for extra benefits for the people that either get the Vouchers dropped or buy them before the presale!
It all depends on the volume, for example if you bought 100 packs in the first presale, you should have got 2 cards, which have been valued at $150 now, $100 at the time after the presale. This means let's say $3 more of value to add later on the pack purchase. 100 packs, including the voucher value was at $4 - pack + $10 - voucher at that time, which $14 per pack. Waiting to buy after presale, would cost you $4 the pack and adding $3 if you want that card. The value of the SPS drop is irrelevant. Also keeping the DEC for SPS was not so good as it is lost more than half of it's value. I buy either credits or cards with the DEC when I get it.
