If they want trouble, I give them double
I'm sure the title of this post will raise eyebrows, some people will ask what does he mean?
It seems this man is a trouble maker. Hahaha
To be honest, I'm not a trouble maker, on the contrary, I'm, a gentle and peace-loving man those that know me can testify to that. But I don't like it when someone is being taken and treated like a fool. Even if you feel someone is foolish, allow them in their "foolishness", don't try to take advantage of that, it can be so annoying, honestly
When someone tries to be calm and peaceful with all men, people take them for a fool, if only you knew what it takes, how difficult it is to be calm even in the face of violence then you'll respect and appreciate peaceful people
Nobody has a monopoly of violence and being violent to someone and the person decides not to react violently doesn't make them weak, neither does it make you stronger than them.
Some people are naturally violent and troublesome if you allow them to have their way the first time, they'll continue like that with you thinking you're a fool, but tno moment you pay them back in their coin, return violence, then they'll calm down and begin to respect you especially if your violence surpasses theirs
This is a wrong approach and shouldn't be considered ordinarily. Unfortunately, that's what people want and if you don't act that way, if you don't show them once in a while that you too can be violent, they'll continue to bully and trample on you
The only reason why a bully will continue to bully you is that you're always gentle with them, such people do not understand gentility, the language they understand is violence. Give them violence and you'll see them calming down
This is a lesson I've learned recently. I found myself amid laborers, everyday I deal with them on different issues. Each time I have an encounter with them they'll always shout and make noise threatening to pull down the heavens. Each time I see them do that, I'll calm down and settle them; they always do that whenever money is involved because they always like to cheat
Different people continued doing that to me until I said no!
I stopped being gentle with them because they don't deserve it, anybody, that goes violent on you over a little thing doesn't deserve your peace. The moment I realized this fact, I changed my policy
This time, I always follow them the way they come, I give them the hand they being to me. If they come in peace ill be peaceful with them, if they want violence ill give it to them double. Yes, double trouble. Since I learned this, I treat different people differently according to g to how they come. I give them what they want and we always settle at the end which is the most important thing

It's no longer funny
Things are further falling apart and the center is gradually getting loose if something is not done fast as a matter of urgency, I wonder where we will see ourselves in the nearest future. People have been crying and shouting for some years now about insecurity in Nigeria but the government and people in authority closed their ears to the cries of the people
I always said that the worst thing that can happen is when people lose confidence and trust in the government, and that's exactly what is happening now. Nigeria's government has always given us the impression that they value terrorists more than law-abiding citizens. Even when it's obvious to everyone that herdsmen are making the country unsafe the government pretends as if they are blind
Now they have issued a shoot-at-sight order to security agencies, is that the best approach to the issue at hand?
We have always known our security agencies to be rascally and unprofessional in carrying out their responsibilities, they have always found pleasure in shooting and killing innocent citizens extra-judicially, now the government is giving them license to kill anybody they see by giving such a barbaric order in the 21st century
It worries me that some people are celebrating this barbaric move by the federal government because that order is "anti-people", it only empowers security operatives to harass people as they have always done but this time, they're backed up by law, so what's worth celebrating there?
We all know that the nation has been hot after the 2020 #endsars protests which left a lot of people dead both civilians and police. Both parties have been enemies to each other since then because the government refused to settle what led to the protests and what can out of it. Giving such order to one party at this time is like asking them to take revenge on the people
Do you know why I think so?
We all know the culprits and perpetrators of all the killings in the country all this while, they have never been confronted, none of them has ever been charged to court. Most times we see them being shielded and defended by the same security operative against innocent, law-abiding citizens, and you think anything is going to be done differently now?
I don't think so
If anything will be done differently now, it will be against Nigeria citizens and not the terrorists, this time they're going to be more brutal and discharge their activities with impunity because they have backing from the presidency, we all know these things
That order, for me, was made to deceive few individuals who still believe in this government. The security operatives themselves "understand" the body language, it's not about what is said but what is intended. There is fire in the mountain. It's no longer funny

The bushmeat and the wicked hunter
**Once upon a time, the animals In the forest got tired of being killed randomly by the hunters every day. The incessant killings of the animals without their notice always put the forest in disarray. The animals decided to engage the hunters and have an agreement**
**After the meeting, the hunters and the animals agreed that the animals will provide the hunters with one animal every week and the hunters also agreed not to kill the animals at random. Both the hunters and the animals were happy because the hunters no longer have to toil for several hours and days without getting anything; the animals don't have to be in perpetual fear, they don't have to flee whenever they see the hunters since they pay their dues**
**The peace between the hunters and the bushmeats didn't last long enough because the hunters soon started killing bushmeats indiscriminately, failing their part of the bargain. The animals sent a delegate to the hunters to find out why they were still being killed even after keeping their part of the bargain. On sighting the elevate, the hunters shot the animal without even receiving the message.**
**The animals sent another message through another animal, but the hunters killed the animal again. The animals kept sending different animals to negotiate peace with the hunters but the hunters continued killing all the animals just for the fun of it. The animals couldn't I anything, after all, they're helpless against the hunters who always have the gun and other weapons at their disposal**
**The animals in this evil kingdom felt so sad because their fellow animals in other kingdoms cohabitate peacefully with the hunters, why is their own different?**
**They finally resorted to asking animals in another kingdom to persuade their hunters to come over and plead with the wicked hunters to quit the killings. The hunters agreed to talk to the wicke hunters but they refused and even intensified the killings. When other hunters condemned the evil, they killed their fellow hunters in rage and silence other hunters**
**The animals continued living in fear but they never stopped seeking solutions to their problem. The hunters continued alternating the animals until one day, the animals took a bold step. They said to themselves**
**"Since we have been hiding and living in fear, the hunters have never stopped killing us, we have exhausted all our strategies yet they wouldn't stop killing us, no matter what we do, they must kill us, so why don't we attack them and get killed rather than hiding and still get killed. If we succeed, we secure our land and the future of our children, but if we die, we die heroes for the sake of our land and our children"**
**After encouraging themselves, the animals went out to hunt down the unsuspecting hunters. To their chagrin, the only thing that makes the hunter seem so powerful is his gun. "They're not invincible after all," they said to themselves.**
**them no get sstrength, they come dey do gra-gra**
The only option left for the hunters is to swallow their pride and engage the animals in a peaceful dialogue, if not, the kingdom is going to be torn apart. No one is smiling and two wrongs can never make a right
**The animals decided to hunt down the hunters until they're dispossessed of all their arms, only then can there be a level playground. That is how the hunter became the hunted. The only thing making the animals vulnerable is fear, fear of the unknown. The moment they confronted their fears, everything became possible and easy for them**
**Coincidentally, this could also be the fate of one country in Africa. Violence is not always the answer, no man has a monopoly of violence. When you push a man to the wall, expect a boomerang!**

Man's inhumanity to man
Nigeria is said to be the giant of Africa in terms of population and size, Nigeria has a lot of tribes and different cultures making it one of the most diverse and populous African nations. The many tribes and cultures in Nigeria made it one of the most popular in the world and many other African countries look up to Nigeria
In recent times, however, it's been seen that diverse cultures and many tribes can also have other adverse effects on a country like Nigeria. The government in the center always has all the powers making it possible for a tribe to be more powerful than others during every administration.
This fact has never been given thorough thought or consideration until the current regime led by president general Muhammad Buhari came into power. They have divided Nigeria into many tribes and religions without saying a single word
They keep preaching unity but they keep on dividing the country. Nigeria has been shattered into many parts tribally, politically, and many other ways one can ever think of. People are getting discouraged by the day, nothing to be happy about, there's absolutely nothing to be proud of about Nigeria right now, no sector is working. People pay for electricity but they don't get it, an average Nigerian barely has access to electricity for up to 8 hours a day but they keep getting estimated bills because the electricity company refuses to give a meter to the people. They do whatever they like, they increase electricity tariff anytime and anyhow they want, and if the electricity users can't pay up they'll have their lines disconnected, our government is defrauding us in our own country
What about water? Water is "liquid gold" in nigéia, you don't see it anywhere but there is a water company. A lot of Nigerians have lived and died without ever having access to water, individuals ha e to sink boreholes and provide water for themselves and others. This has become a normal thing that nobody even remembers that it's the responsibility of the government to provide water for us
Can we talk about roads? That's a no-go area. Our roads are terrible death traps, accidents waiting to happen. You can rarely see a smooth road of 100 meters, there are potholes everywhere; during the rainy season the roads turn to ponds and swamps for frogs and other animals
As an oil-producing country, we still can't afford petroleum products to fuel our generators because every household depends on generators for electricity. The products are so expensive that only the rich can afford them
Insecurity is increasing by the day, different groups of terrorists are emerging daily and the government is doing absolutely nothing to curb the menace. No one is sure of the next day, everybody is scared because they don't know where or when the terrorists will strike each time,
Sometimes when I remember these things and talk about them some people say I'm unpatriotic, that I don't believe in my country. What does it mean to be patriotic because I don't seem to know the meaning anymore? How do you expect me to fold my arms and seal my lips while things degenerate every day and every Nigerian life is in danger? This is the only way I can express myself because if you talk, all the security agencies in Nigeria will come after you, sometimes they kill their victim and nothing will happen, life goes on. Is that the life you expect one to live and keep calm?
Our children do not have access to quality education; I challenge every Nigerian on this platform to mention one, just one government school that meets international school standard, majority of the schools are in deplorable states, comparing them to "international standard" is even an insult to the word "school"
The latest reports show that about 15 million Nigeria children are out of school. These are children that were once in school but couldn't continue along the line and dropped out due to one reason or the other which is mostly due to lack of funds. Now, what about those that have never been to school at all? They are numerous, multitudes!
Why are we still called the giant of Africa when even toothpick is imported, no business thieves in Nigeria except crime and criminality, banditry has become the latest business in Nigeria, a very lucrative business practiced by a particular region and the government always support them by giving them more money to purchase more arms to grow their business. What a country!
Please don't tell me about patriotism. "Think of what you can do for your country and not what your country can do for you" that's shat they always quote for some of us when we point out the ills, deceiving themselves while things degenerate further. The person that made that quote was an American where the system is working. Apart from crime and criminality, which other system is working perfectly in Nigeria? Please answer me
It's so disheartening that the same people that opposed senator Enahoro when he moved the motion for Nigeria's independence in 1958 are still the same impoverishing everybody, how did we get here?
Notice that I didn't talk about the health sector, it's not that the sector is fair or anything to write home about but because there's nothing to say about it, the state of the health sector is evident in the attitude of our leaders when they or any member of their family gets sick. They fly them abroad immediately for medication. That tells you all you need to know about the health sector
I was not born during the slave trade and the colonial era but I think I prefer that era to what we have now in Nigeria. The country is completely baseless and shattered and what annoys me most is that everybody pretends as if nothing is happening, for how long shall we continue suffering and smiling, living in pretense?
The whole world is watching but no one is talking. Nigeria is in a state of anarchy. Terrorism is a legal act in Nigeria backed by the government and the terrorists shielded against the law-abiding citizens yet the African Union, United Nations, and other agencies look the other way. I'm sure they are all waiting for. Yes! That's what they are all waiting for. Man's inhumanity to man!

A very wrong move
My people will say "if a witch cries at night and a child dies in the morning, it's certain that the witch killed the child", this is a very strong case that requires very strong evidence from the witch to clear herself
Another is saying that when you're called a rat, don't position yourself as a rat because if you do, pussy cat will carry you away. I'm saying all these with regards to the rumor making rounds, the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu gave the police 40 days ultimatum to dismantle all roadblocks in the southeast or face the wrath of the people
The Nigerian police force, no doubt is one of the biggest problems we have in Nigeria and they're a threat to life especially the youths, everybody knows how incompetent and unprofessional they have been in discharging their duties, the police is the worst experience you want to have as a Nigerian, we know all that. But is the way Nnamdi Kanu going about it the best way to go about it?
We also know that the government has failed us, we have cried and begged and even organized #endsars protest but the government rather sent the military to kill peaceful unarmed citizens rather than listen to them and reform the police. Nobody likes the police and their checkpoints, but is threatening them the right approach?
I don't know how serious or prepared they are about it, neither do I know what their plans are but it's sure not going to be funny. I'm afraid if things continue the way they are going we might soon witness something worse than the #endsars protest in Nigeria. The police are not our friends but removing them entirely is not going to do us good, attacking them will not make things better for us, we have to be very careful and think about consequences before taking some actions
Imagine police guns in the hands of hoodlums, that spells doom for the country if things continue this way no one Is safe. I feel disappointed when I see people clapping and praising the "unknown gunmen" when they should be worried. Let's not allow our hatred for the police to blind our sense of reasoning. If anything goes wrong along the line, the poor masses will suffer mostly because we don't have arms to protect ourselves.
Condemn evil when you see evil, don't celebrate evil no matter who committed it or whom the evil is committed against because what goes around comes around.
This is the time that the federal government should implement the resolves in the national confab because it addresses most of the problems we have now including the police. Nigeria should be restructured now before things get out of hand

Niger delta militants again
Nigeria is a country that is blessed with a lot of human and natural resources but the government is too lazy to harness the numerous resources. The major source of income for Nigeria as a nation is oil. Over the years, the region that produces most of the oil is neglected either because they are a minority or any other reason(s) that we do not know of
The oil gotten from their land is what Nigeria prides on yet they refuse to develop or at least take care of the area, the people are predominantly farmers and fishermen but their lands and rivers are polluted with oil that they can no longer farm or fish in their rivers. The people have continuously begged the federal government to clean up their land and provide them with jobs and basic amenities but the government rather use the money gotten from the niger delta to develop some region that contributes little or nothing to the development of the nation ignoring the goose that lay the golden eggs
The group has struggled over the years for their right and their youths formed a group, niger delta militants. This group is so formidable and have cried and showcased their power in the past and threatened violence if their demands are not met, and their demands are so simple
They want to be treated fairly, their land and water are polluted with oil spillage, they can not farm, they can't fish or drink water from their streams. The people are wallowing in abject poverty yet their land produces most of the oil that Nigeria exports.
The government never cares about the region, the only time they get attention is if they carry arms and whenever they carry arms the government will send the military against them, for how long shall we continue to live this way?
The niger delta militants have been calm all this while even in the face of all the bloodshed and injustice in the country against different regions including the niger delta. They have now released a threat recently that they're going to start destroying infrastructures in Lagos and Abuja
I don't see this as a mere threat because they always deliver whenever they make such statements. The region has been marginalized for long alongside other regions. The government seems to be government of the fulanis, for the fulanis and by the fulanis because the Fulanis are the only people that are assured of protection in Nigeria of today, they even have federal government immunity so they can kill anybody they like and nothing will happen, no single arrest has been made since inception of this regime
It's obvious now that the country is divided in many parts and every region is aggrieved waiting for the first region to blow the whistle before everybody swings into action. If the niger delta militants are allowed to carry out their threats, it's going to be doom for Nigeria because it will ignite violence across the country and a fire that the government cannot quench in a hurry
The government has always used the military and other armed forces in cases like this, but if they're wise they should apply diplomacy and engage dialogue, unless they want they country to be in disarray
It's been a long time since we heard anything about the niger delta militants or their actions, a lot might have been going on secretly in the creeks all these while. Let the government do the needful and treat every Nigerian equally. They should stop this Fulani madness in Nigeria, no life is more ore ious than the other, we all should have equal right and justice
True test of knowledge
Often people use formal education to measure or determine the level of knowledge a person has attained. Education is the key as they say and if you don't have formal education some people don't consider you knowledgeable enough. Some people even go to the extent of terming a none educated person illiterate or ignoramus
Come to think about this, education is not the right or proper way to test the level of someone's knowledge because formal education itself is limited, education system only tests one's ability to memorize things because tests and exams are written in school only test the student based on what they were thought, so they're expected to remember and duplicate what they had been taught in class, this is a kind of limitation in the part of the student because they can't go beyond a particular scope
Education is not what people think it is, it does not bring out the uniqueness in an individual because the real knowledge of a person is within them waiting to be explored, if formal education can't do that then it's not a real test of knowledge. Education only gives one a fake sense of knowing even though the knowledge is limited to a particular discipline depending on the course a person studies in school.
The greatest men in the world today are not men that merely learned how to read and write in school, they are men who forsook formal education and went into themselves to discover the true knowledge in them, the kind that can never be taught in any school
Think of men that changed the world through their vast knowledge, none of them was able to achieve greatness through formal education "alone", think of Thomas Edison, Leonardo da Vinci, and the rest of them
It marvels me sometimes when people try to prove how wise or knowledgeable they are by trying to showcase their academic wits and all whatnot. True knowledge comes from within, it resides in every man and not in schools. That's why the ancient men, the stone age was able to come up with a lot Of great inventions even without passing through the walls of any school or formal education
People should stop priding so much on formal education and explore the true knowledge and wisdom in them. A lot of parents abandon their children to schools to impact knowledge ignoring the great potentials in the children. Formal education can only help one know the world, the environment and some things that play out to an extent, but the true knowledge is right within every human being.
Know this, true test and measure of knowledge is not in formal education. Discover it within

Hard lesson
I realized something recently, over the past few days I noticed that I suddenly started having problems with people, or rather, people started having problems with me; unlike before when they hail me and call me a good guy, everybody wants to be with me but not anymore
Initially, when I noticed this I was worried, I felt uneasy about it so I decided to research to find out why. After analyzing some of the things that led to my "fall out" with some people I realized that the only problem was because I stopped "being nice"
As long as you allow people have their way in everything they term you a nice person. They don't care how you feel, they don't care if you get hurt while letting them have their way all that matters to them is their well-being only. Once they're okay, that's fine for them, nothing else matters
You'll continue to be loved and appreciated by everybody if you always lay low and allow them to override you, but the moment you start fighting for your right and what is yours, they will see you as a bad person and start avoiding you
This is a lesson I learned recently and I learned it the hard way but I'm happy I learned it late than never. This has helped me appreciate true friendship, now I know the people who care and always stick around come what may, those are the true friends and not the ones that are only interested in what they'll get even at your detriment
Another lesson I learned is that having too many people around you can cause more harm than good, there's a saying in my place that when all lizards are laying down at the same time, it will be hard to tell which of them is having runny stomach. They will all pretend and look like they are the same but they are not
Learn to separate and categorize those that come around you so you don't make the grave mistake of taking mere neighbors as friends. It's not everyone that comes around you that is your friend. Some people leave as long as they no longer get what they came for. Know this!
No matter what you do, no matter how you try to be careful and make people happy, some people must feel bad and cheated when you do something for yourself or fight for what is rightfully yours.
If you want to continue being "loved" by everyone around you then prepare to play the fool all the time and hurt yourself until you die. Yes! People want you to sacrifice for them but they can't do the same for your sake, so why sacrifice so much even at your expense for those that will eventually leave you?.
It's needless trying to keep people around while hurting yourself, be your self, love yourself, and do the right things always, not for anybody but your good and the general good of everybody

Work smart not hard
Everybody believes so much in hard work, people always talk about hard work as if everything depends on hard work alone so they work and work hard without achieving much success
I don't believe that success depends solely on hard work, if success depends only on hard work then those people that do the hardest and most menial jobs would have been the wealthiest in the world but they're not because some people keep running around and round in a circle without heating the required breaking point
One has to work smart, soft work pays more than hard work
I remember a story of one man that had his big engine damaged, he went looking for someone to fix the engine. He hired several experts who came and did everything they could but the engine refused to start. He used his hands to try and hired several other engineers to help him. They all continued working on the engine but it still wouldn't start
Just before he gave up on the engine, another engineer came and offered to try but insisted that they talk about the price first. The engineer asked to be paid 100dollars to fix the engine and the owner of the engine agreed
The engineer spent an hour checking and studying the engine without even working in it. While he was studying the engine. The owner and the other engineers stood looking strangely at him to see what he would do and how he was going to fix the engine still having his clothes on
After about an hour and thirty minutes, he brought out a hammer and hit a spot on the engine and it started working again to the amazement of everyone present. The owner of the engine got angry and felt reluctant to part with hundred dollars for a "simple work" that didn't last a minute
He asked the engineer why he charged so high for a job that lasted less than one minute; the engineer smiled and answered: "for hitting the hammer, 1 dollar and for knowing where to hit, 99 dollars"
That goes to show that smart work is better than hard work. The rest of the engineers worked very hard even harder than the last one that fixed the engine but they couldn't achieve anything because they were not smart enough to check and finds out where the problem was. But the smart engineer didn't work until he found out what the actual problem was
We see similar things in life every day. Some people rush into work without really observing very well to know what or where the problem lies. You might spend a lot of time or years running around a circle without achieving much success. It's better to spend more time working smart and intelligently than to spend lesser time working hard without achieving results

Senate set to regulate bleaching cream
Bleaching creams are among the best-selling cosmetics in Nigeria today because of the quest of many people who are not proud of their skin color. Some people feel inferior being black so they bleach their skin to meet up, especially the ladies
Sometimes those creams are harmful to the skin but those using them don't care whether it protects or damages the skin. People can bleach for many reasons that I know nothing of but they all end up being light-skinned and that's all that matters to them. Some of them turn green, some red eventually but they don't care. Some even develop multi colors without knowing, especially when the scorching effect of the sun hits their skin severely
A lot of people especially ladies in Nigeria start bleaching their skin at a very tender age so, by the time they become adults, they're already comfortable in their new bleached skin, some of them are so consistent and spend a lot of money on the good quality creams, you might never notice that they used to be black before turning white. Lol
The Senate is now considering regulating bleaching cream in Nigeria. I don't know whether to hail them or criticize them for this move because in as much as I hate bleaching cream, and I believe that badly bleached skin is an eyesore and I hate them, especially when the asking begins to shrink and even smell as a result of that; sometimes their skin gets too soft that even the smallest wound on the skin takes an eternity to heal.
But I think it's their body and they have the right to do whatever they like, provided they don't constitute problems for other people. There are some things you don't force an adult to do or not to do, everyone should be able to make use of their senses especially when life and human health is involved
I think there are other pressing issues the senate should look into, they should stop wasting their time and taxpayers' money on things that have little or no impact on society, and we the citizens. Sometimes I wonder if they really live in Nigeria or they live abroad and get information from those living in Nigeria. Otherwise, how can we have all the problems in Nigeria and all they consider worthy of regulating at this critical time is bleaching cream?
Maybe we should start reminding them what to deliberate about one after the other just like we reminded them to reform the police and end police brutality through #endsars protests; if not they will continue to run around in circles due to lack of direction even though they are highly paid to represent the people
I mean, how is bleaching cream our problem in this country? what does bleaching cream have to do with the people of the country's welfare?
I think it's high time the people began to charge them and demand good governance and true representation from their leaders rather than sit and watch them catch a cruise with the people and make themselves untouchable gods. Until Africa as a whole, begins to see leaders as servants and not gods, until we begin to understand that good governance and true representation are our rights, then our liberation from their oppression and impunity in high handedness is a very far journey almost impossible to accomplish
Wake up Nigeria!
Wake up, Africa!

Problem in our hands
For the past 5 years or so now, the only news we hear about Nigeria is bandits, Fulani, terrorists, cows, kill, and so on. We've seen a lot of handwriting on the wall indicating that our government is not ready to save Nigerians from terrorists. They seem to value them and even protect them against law-abiding Nigerians
What worries me the most is the fact that people still act "normal" even in the face of imminent doom that looms in Nigeria, doomsday gets closer with each passing day and our leaders don't seem worried, the calls for great worry
Why is the government so quick to kill peaceful protesters, but they have never condemned the herdsmen attack or indicted any of them. This is worrisome
Recently we saw a sitting governor, the governor of Bauchi state defending Fulani terrorists on national television. The man said that Fulani herdsmen have the right to carry arms and protect themselves, the same man remains a sitting governor in a country that claims to be fighting terrorism, this calls for great worry
The greatest worry for me is that people that should think and expose the evil going on in Nigeria are busy doing different challenges on social media, are we under a spell or what?
Why are people pretending and acting like nothing is happening?
Is it until those terrorists start going from house to house to kill everybody before we realize that there's a big problem in our hands and rise to the occasion?
As we speak right now, there is fulaniphobia in Nigeria and many other African countries, each country is scared of declaring because the so-called giant of Africa seems to have an interest and are even defending terrorists against law-abiding citizens
How long are we going to watch while those men rape and maim before our very eyes?
Why are Britain and the rest of the world silent about these?
There's a serious battle going on in Nigeria and no media is reporting it, not even Nigerian media are permitted to report. What is going on?
A video is trending on social media now where a cargo of ammunition was delivered to Fulani terrorists inside a bush, they were threatening to destroy and kill people as they were assembling the ammunition. Those ammunitions entered the country through our borders, the same borders that are heavily manned by a lot of security forces, heavily armed to the teeth; the arms were moved several kilometers from wherever they were received down to the forests and no police, immigration, or military checkpoint stopped them
If you are not worried at this point then there's a problem. A lot of things are happening in the background while we are busy distracting ourselves with irrelevant issues in the country. We should be shouting and alerting the rest of the world of the dangers in Nigeria and the dangers of being a Nigeria at this time it's terrible!
Do not look the other way because it hasn't gotten to you, if nothing is done now to stop those terrorists, they'll soon overrun the country and by then it will be too late. Let's alert the world since our government is not doing anything. They have failed us. Pray for Nigeria

The world's biggest room
If we go in search of the biggest room in the world today I'm sure there are going to be a lot of problems and controversies as to where the biggest room is and what it's made of. Dubai is one of the most beautiful in the world with big and beautiful houses so if you're looking for the most beautiful houses in the world
There are beautiful houses in places like France, the USA, and so many other countries even Nigeria where I live. Most times when people build houses what matters most to them is the appearance, how beautiful the house will look
Most times people consider the beauty of a house more than the size of the room which is also as important as the house itself but people often neglect the size. If we go for a tour around the world to find the biggest room in the world, where do you think we can find it?
Well, you can't find the biggest room anywhere in the world because it's nowhere.
The biggest room in the world is right inside every individual, that's the room for improvement.
The imperfect nature of human beings has created a very large room for improvement which can never get filled up throughout their existence on earth, as long as we live on earth, we must always find one thing or the other to improve on throughout our lives in this world
Some people see themselves as perfect beings thereby blocking the vacuum for improvement in their lives. In as much as you're a human being living on this earth, you must learn one thing or the other every day of your life if you are willing to improve and fill up your room, room for improvement
How big is your room? Do you even acknowledge that there's room for improvement in your life?
That's the first step towards growth and development, it takes humility and sincerity for one to recognize that they have a large room in their lives to fill up
The second step towards filling that room is accepting corrections from other people no matter who they are or what they mean to you, you have to accept corrections from anybody willing to offer them to you because a drowning man can never be saved unless they stretch out their arms
Don't be too proud to accept your imperfections and open yourself to improvements because no one is perfect, even the person offering to help you in one area is also lacking in another area. The fact that they're helping you improve in one area doesn't make them perfect in all areas, you could still be better than them in some other areas and can assist them too
Are you still in search of the world's biggest room?
That room is right inside you, it's the room for improvement, find yours now
The world is big, so are human beings and their rooms for improvement so let us learn to accept that no one is perfect and dispose of ourselves for improvement because the biggest room in the world is the room for improvement, let's aknowledge that room in our lives and try hard every day to fill it up

Never hide your sickness
Sickness is part of being human because no human being is perfect. As long as we live, one sickness or the other must find its way into our life. All we need do is go to a di tor and get treated
Sickness can not be associated with a particular class or caliber of people, every living thing is susceptible to sickness so it's not abnormal or unusual for one to get sick
However some people view sickness in a different light, they think it's for the poor and wretched, some other people see sickness as a sign of weakness or imperfection; of course, we are all weak and imperfect, what's so special about that?
Some people go to the extent of hiding their sickness from others, they don't want even their closest neighbor to know what they're passing through. They keep hiding their sickness until it kills them
It's not wise to hide a sickness like that. Its true people can be so stupid and foolish to laugh at people with some kind of ailment, but that's not reason enough to hide your sickness even to the extent of suffering and dying in silence while pretending like everything is alright.
There's a saying in my place that if you expose scabies of the anus it will heal faster. Some people around you have experienced one ailment or the other if you expose the sickness to them they'll help you by giving you a solution, but if you keep rising it from everybody, no one will know what you're suffering and you could die of the sickness
I'm not ruling out the fact that every human being has pride and sometimes our pride won't let us expose our weaknesses. I will not also rule out the fact that stigma is real. The majority of the people that know about your weakness will use it against you, they will mock you and make you feel less human, but that's the worst they can do, they can't do more than that.
If you hide your weakness because of what some misguided people will say or do then you cause yourself more harm than the sickness can do to you. Even the person that makes a mockery of another person is not perfect, every individual is ladened with one sickness or weakness or the other. No one is immaculate, no one is completely free, that's the fact
Be mature and bold enough to own up, fight your weakness head-on like a soldier, don't be ashamed of it. Some people you are hiding it from are even suffering worse things that you never know about. Being bold helps you find a solution fast, it also helps other people find the courage to go through their battle
Never hide it because of some random individuals who can neither offer a solution nor make you better, be yourself, be bold and courageous

What Valentine's Day is
Valentine's day is one of the most popular feasts in the world and also the most celebrated, the only feast that is widely celebrated by almost every race, tribe, and religion all over the world.
Most people that celebrate valentine's day don't know the origin or what it stands for and they don't seem to care, what matters to them is to "have fun" with their "lovers" on that day which is why they prefer to call it "lovers day"
It's lovers day quite alright but the love that many people have in mind and celebrate that day isn't the right kind of love, at least not the one that Saint Valentine put in so much of his time and energy to celebrate during his lifetime
Saint Valentine was a Catholic priest during the reign of Emperor Claudius ii. Claudius believed that single men made better soldiers so he outlawed marriage for soldiers, but valentine defied Claudius and secretly wedded lovers in the camp. When Claudius discovered what valentine was doing he had him killed
There are two other Valentines who were also executed by the emperor Claudius and they both also died for love. One of them was the bishop of Terni who was beheaded by the emperor Clausius; the other Valentine was imprisoned for helping Christians escape harsh treatments in prisons, he was eventually imprisoned too. While in prison, his jailer's daughter always came to visit him so they became friends and lovers
Before he died, he wrote a letter to his jailer's daughter and titled it "from your Valentine" which is why people use that expression to date during Valentine's day celebrations
Valentine died for love, according to the stories he gave his all and made sacrifices for those he lived; pure genuine, and unconditional love, that's what Saint Valentine died for. But it baffles me today to see what people celebrate on February 14th, sex
I saw some videos trending on the internet about Valentine's Day preparation, people are sharpening their sex paraphernalia for lovers day celebration. What a pervasive way of thinking about the feast
This goes to show how much people have deviated from what is and are Drifting to what they wish. Love is not all about sex, and sex is not proof of love, when will young people begin to understand and appreciate this fact?
A lot of young teenage girls are deceived by their much older boyfriends and lured into sex all in the name of lovers day as if love depends on sex, that's a wrong orientation that most youngsters have about love, unfortunately
Things are getting out of hand and if we the learned adults don't correct the ills in the society, this feast will turn into the most perverted in the world. We have to teach the little ones around us who have the wrong notion about love that love is not about sex and they don't have to be forced to have sex just to prove their love
Let's teach the world about love the right way so that posterity will judge us fairly. Happy feast of Saint Valentine in advance
Stay hungry
Hunger for me is the greatest motivator in the world because it moves one to go out and get some food to eat whether they want it or not. Unlike any other thing that might calm down at some point, hunger continues to disturb you until you go out and get something to eat, no I e can cheat hunger or they will be deceiving themselves
I remember one popular highlife song in my dialect titled "an ekweghi" which means "the stomach never rests". The song was inspired by the saying that " the stomach doesn't allow the legs to rest"-Whenever the stomach is hungry the legs are in trouble because they'll continue walking and running to different places to provide food to feed the stomach.
Even if the hungry stomach decides to sleep without eating, it will never be comfortable. If you've ever gone to bed hungry you can easily relate that you'll never be comfortable sleeping on an empty stomach, no matter how hard you try you must wake up and try to find something to eat to quench the hunger
The same thing applies when one earnestly desires something for themselves The desire to achieve it will always drive the person to work hard. Sometimes when they achieve it they feel fulfilled and the drive goes off for that particular goal. But as a human beings, our desires are unending and we are hardly satisfied.
There are different levels of achievement and successes, once we attain a particular one we feel fulfilled at that level, but another one will always come up if we are adventurous enough, such is life
The truth is, some people relax and stop aiming higher after achieving their desire, they feel like they have arrived and stop aspiring for bigger goals, that false feeling of accomplishment can keep one stagnated at that level or even reduce them
When you find yourself feeling all accomplished and arrived, it's time to spur yourself and aim higher because that feeling can limit you; find something else and get hungry for it, never allow yourself not to feel hungry for something at any point in your life
Think of the stomach, no matter how much food you put in it, it still feels empty and you start feeling hungry again. Let the desire or hunger for one thing or the other never leave you because that's the only thing that will keep you going and growing from one level of success to the other.
Never stop being hungry, let hunger drive you always and even after achieving your goals don't allow the hunger to quench, stir it up each time and aim for higher levels
Stay focused
Stay motivated
Be uncomfortable with your level
Above all... Stay hungry!

Badmouthing strategy
Badmouthing is when someone talks ill about another person in their absence just to gain favour or make others hate them. Badmouthing on its own is a very bad thing that should not be encouraged in any guise, but the way people use it to their advantage these days is what I cannot understand.
The act of badmouthing is when you say negative or derogatory things about someone else in their absence especially when you want someone or people to prefer you over them. Badmouthing, for me is a very bad strategy because it tarnishes people's image without them knowing it
It happens a lot among rivals in a particular space, recently I was supervising a project and I needed another worker because the former laborer left the job and ran away so I put a notice that I needed people to finish the work
More than five People indicated an interest in the job so I ended up giving the job to one of them that I thought was the most qualified, unfortunately, he couldn't deliver so I paid him off and called another person. Eventually, he finished one part of the work and left. Then I called the last man who eventually finished the work.
However, there was something significant and peculiar about each of the men that came to that site, each man that came there condemned the work done by the previous person. When the first man did it, I thought it was peculiar with him alone but I was wrong. The more I brought workers to the site the more they condemned the works done by other men and they only praised themselves as the best
It got to a point and I began to wonder why someone will badmouth another person just to find favor.
Is that the best strategy?
That attitude is so bad and shouldn't be applied as a strategy by anyone not even against your enemy.
The men kept badmouthing one another that I got tired of hearing them, I decided that I was going to be hiring workers based on their ability to convince me that they can deliver and not by condemning others but I was disappointed as no one of them could do without condemning the other
This attitude plays out in the lives of many people, they live and gain confidence by condemning others. Condemning other people can never add anything to your worth or make other people less of what they already are
Condemning other people behind their back only makes you cheap and a coward. Rather than badmouth others to gain favor, work on improving yourself, keep other people and what they do out of your business.
The sky is too big for two birds to clash, If you want to outshine other people at your level you know what to do- work harder!. You can badmouth someone for as long as you can, it doesn't remove anything from them nor add to you, so why do it in the first place?
focus on your lane and run your race the best way that you can, keep other peoples failures and successes out of your lane, it will only being you down and become an obstacle on your way
And when someone else badmouths you, do not blame them or try to stop them, keep moving and working hard to prove them wrong. We are all different in our ways and the world is so big to accommodate everybody. Focus on yourself and your work and allow others to face theirs

Who unleashed the dogs?
My mood tonight is really bad though I've been trying very hard to shake off the feeling, I've tried everything possible to be normal and pretend as if everything is alright, but it seems like the more I try to forget what caused my sadness the more I think about it and feel even worse than ever
Please forgive me for continuously posting about my country Nigeria and all the evil that abound, I'm not in any way trying to denigrate or to bore you with bad things that happen but I do this because I love my country so much and I want things to be better; that's why I feel very bad when things don't go the way they should in the country
Secondly, I post about my country here because this seems to be the only and easiest way I vent my anger, since I discovered this platform I always write articles about some things bothering me and feel better.
I will never fail to appreciate those of you that make comments under these posts, especially those that express their constructive views and opinions. I hope I get your responses to this post too
Tonight I want to draw our attention to a monster that is gradually growing bigger and more dangerous than those who created it. There is a saying in my place that "giving drink to a monkey is never a problem, collecting back the cup from the same monkey is the real problem", that's exactly what is about to happen in my beloved country Nigeria and if care is not taken something bigger and worse than #endsars protest will soon happen in Nigeria
Hardly does a month pass by since the current regime that we don't hear one unpleasant news or the other in Nigeria. Its always bad news, killings, bad government policies, etc
Just last year, Nigerian youths cane together for the first time irrespective of class, tribe, or religion. They came together with one voice against the brutal killings and intimidation of Nigerian youths by a unit of the Nigeria police force known as SARS. Sars means some dial anti-robbery squad
They brutalized, killed, and maimed Nigerians with impunity for many years. The worst part of the whole thing that triggered Nigerians to protest was the fact that the government knew that those men were maltreating and killing Nigerians yet they said nothing and did nothing to protect innocent Nigerians from the shackles of those evil brutal men
Nigerian youths took to the streets to protest the incessant killings and brutalization of innocent Nigerians especially the youths. The government tried all they could to stop the protest but the youths refused to give up until the protest was hijacked which consequently promoted the government to order the military to move into the protest ground; on the process they fired live bullets at the protesters killing many of them
Seeing that the international communities were getting interested in the protest, the government announced that SARS had been banned just to turn people's eyes away from Nigeria, they even went ahead to set up communities to link into the cases of police brutality especially those carried out by SARS operatives. Little did we know that they were doing all those things just to get the youths to leave the streets
Barely one month after the protests, the same set of evil men came back to the streets and continued their business of extorting and killing innocent Nigerians. We couldn't protest again because, during the last #endsars protest, the government sent armed military men to kill innocent protesters. Nobody wants to die
As I write this article, men of the police force are terrorizing Nigerian youths in the streets, seizing their phones, and taking some to unknown destinations. Just this evening, they visited the city where I live and picked up innocent people for no just reason, the same reason for which the #endsars protest took place.
What exactly is wrong with Nigerian leaders?
Is it until those uniformed men kill all the youths in Nigeria before the government swings into action?
From what I gathered, the police brutality going on now is not unrelated to the latest announcement by the central bank of Nigeria that it has banned cryptocurrency exchange banks in Nigeria. They were harrassing young people and searching their phones to see whether they'll find any crypto wallets or transactions
How did we get here?
Since when did crypto currency become a "criminal offence?"
Honestly I don't understand what is going on in Nigeria. We are now living in fear in our own country, not because of terrorists or thieves but because of our government who continue to press the youths, the same youths that they refuse to produce jobs for
People go to school and graduate but they can't find jib anywhere, young people struggle everyday to make it on their own, they suffer to get what their government can't give to them. Rather than encourage and commend them, the same government clamp down on young people who become successful in what they do
That goes to show that they don't like the youths to make it in life, they want us to remain in poverty so that they can always use us as thugs to rig elections and other illegal things. Nigeria is like an accident waiting to happen because the people are already fed up. The youths have been pushed to the wall and if nothing is done urgently, the youths might take up arms against their oppressors.
This is to place the whole world on alert, innocent lives are being wasted daily, human rights abuses are going on in Nigeria by the people who are meant to protect them
Let the world intervene because our hands are tied. We don't know the plan of this regime, we don't know what their agenda is. The appropriate authorities should come in now and investigate before it's too late!

Throw stones no more
Sometimes we don't understand the value of some proverbs we say until we see them happen, in this case, we can say that experience is the best teacher because saying it or hearing it alone won't make you understand it fully.
Something terrible is about to happen to Nigeria and Africa at large if something is not done urgently to avert it. The proverb that says those that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones is playing out right now in Nigeria
If you walk into the market place, don't throw stones. Nigeria government have been throwing stones inside the market place for many years now, suddenly the stones they have been throwing have come back to hit not just their family and friends but them also, everybody is about to get hit by the stones they threw in the market place
We all saw the series of karma that happened last year when the coronavirus was at its peak, a lot of politicians and government officials wished to travel abroad because they refused to build standard hospitals in Nigeria, some of them that used to travel abroad for routine check-up and treatment got stuck here and some of them died because they couldn't get the proper and standard medical attention and treatment that they needed. The minster that they created turned back and killed them
Late last year when Pfizer company announced that their vaccine was about 90% ready, the whole world applauded them including Nigeria and other African countries hoping that very soon they will start selling and distributing the vaccines to different countries. Before now, Bill Gates warned that Nigeria should be more concerned about preserving the vaccines than buying them, he was referring to the poor state of our hospitals in Nigeria
Guess what, when Bill Gates made that statement, rather than look for a way to prepare ahead of the vaccine distribution, the presidency in their usual manner lashed Bill Gates for saying that, they told him to mind his business and leave Nigeria alone. Now they have started listing countries that will receive the vaccine and Nigeria was not listed because they cannot preserve the drugs in Nigeria because of the poor state of hospitals and unsteady power supply. Isn't that interesting?
When the government neglected the welfare of the people and refused to fix our basic infrastructures they never knew that a day like this would come, they were busy flying abroad for every little thing leaving the poor masses to suffer the consequences of their neglect. Now they're also affected. Karma is indeed a bitch
we die here!
I just pray and hope they have learned their lessons from everything that happened during this coronavirus because they are also victims, even more, affected than ordinary people
They should learn now that those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

A love story
It was so painful and heartbreaking, the manner that Rita embarrassed me in front of the class, my friends laughed at me because they warned me not to make that move but my love for Rita wouldn't let me
That was the first and only time I ever made advances on a lady. A lot of girls would have quickly accepted my hands in friendship without even having to think twice about it, but I had this special feeling for Rita, my Rita. She was the only girl that mattered to me in the class
On that fateful day, we had returned to the class from break, so I walked straight to Rita who had never stopped staring at me since I entered the class. We always stir at each other, I remember the day I turned to look at Rita and caught Rita looking at me, the moment our eyes met we both burst into laughter, that day my friends nicknamed me "laughing has" because they couldn't figure out why I was laughing
So when I offered her the pack of chocolates I bought for her, she was all smiles until Chike her half-brother appeared from nowhere and kicked them out of her hands. It was a very embarrassing moment for both of us, I became the talk of the class from that day
Everyone knows Chike to be a bully even without being provoked, seeing me with his half-sister gave him all the morale to slap me in front of everybody in the class, I wanted to retaliate but for the same of my love for Rita, I couldn't even move a finger
Chike kept bullying and victimizing me and each time I try to be friends with him he would end up collecting money from me promising to allow me to have my way with Rita but he never did, Chike was the only obstacle between me and my Rita
The only time I enjoyed with Rita was on Saturdays, she always lied to her parents that she was having weekend lessons in school but the lesson was only for science students but Rita was an art student; we always sat under the mango tree behind the principal's office. We vowed to be together forever and get married
Here I am today, soon to witness the marriage between Chike and my Rita, I never knew that Rita was betrothed to Chike from childhood without her consent. Rita is the first daughter of Chike's father's friend and business partner, both men agreed that their children would marry
On the night that Rita sneaked into my house and handed over a piece of paper for me, I thought it was a love letter. I never knew that the letter would make my life miserable
The letter read:
My hero, I hope this letter finds you well. I write this with sorrow in my heart as my father is giving me out in marriage to Chike, because of the business relationship that has existed for many years between Chike's father and my father. They agreed that is getting married to him after school so I had to move into their house, that's why Chike never liked you because he sees you as an enemy, his rival. I was severely punished each time I was seen with you
Sorry, I didn't tell you all this while, I didn't want to tell you then so it wouldn't affect our love. You're invited, come and take me on my wedding day, my heart belongs to you. Please, my hero, don't let him take me, please do something
Yours forever, Rita
I've been sitting here for two hours thinking of how to win back my love, I must not let another man take her away from me, she's the only reason why I've been strong and keeping on
My reply:
I made you a promise, that I will never leave your side nor let another take you away from me. That promise will soon be fulfilled, be rest assured that I'll be there to get you. Nothing can take you away from me, only death can separate us and I'm prepared to die than live without you. Here I come...
Yours forever... Chinedu

Terms and conditions apply
Terms and conditions apply
What if I decide to copy and paste uptrennd terms and conditions here, would you read to the end without stopping in the middle and then scroll to the bottom and click on "I agree"
Do you take time to read terms and conditions before clicking on "I agree", especially when it's online stuff? A lot of people are guilty of this, they don't like reading terms and conditions because they feel it's too long so they're lazy to read to the end; the same thing some people do here on uptrennd, they read only the title and move straight to the comment section. That's too bad a habit!
Terms and conditions are like an agreement between two parties, that's you and the other party, you have to give maximum attention, take your time to read the terms and conditions, and understand everything in it before you agree. These days we seem so comfortable with sites online, we trust them enough and blindly to agree with whatever they wrote without reading through
I won't be surprised if I paste some uptrend terms and conditions here and some people find it strange. They don't read terms and conditions because they feel it's not important.
Clicking on "I agree" under terms and conditions show that you've read and understood everything there and that you're okay with it. Clicking the agree button is your endorsement, your signature so if anything goes wrong along the line, you have no case because you endorsed whatever it was that was stated. Whether you read through is nobody's business because you are assumed to have read it before agreeing
So let's be careful to read things thoroughly before giving consent especially online, it doesn't take much time to read terms and conditions, even If it does, it's worth it! Take your time, take the pain to read through, and understand before you agree so you don't land yourself in something you wouldn't like just because of your neglect and laziness
The same thing applies to ingredients written on the pack of some items especially edibles. The reason why that information is written is for the consumer to read them, they're meant to inform you and not just there for fancy
I remember the day an entire family suffered stomach upset for close to three days and they didn't know the cause until one of the neighbors who came to visit them discovered that the family are expired oats
The expiry date was written on the pack but they didn't bother to check it so they ended up eating expired oats, the entire family! These things are important, let's not ignore them, who you're in the habit of ignoring information on the pack of things you buy, desist from it, read terms and conditions before agreeing to avoid unnecessary avoidable problems.

I wooed my husband
I wooed my husband
The above statement will always raise eyebrows and make some ladies uncomfortable especially in my country. Because it's unheard of, almost an abomination for a lady in this part of the world to accept a man's love proposal outrightly without feigning uninterested at first. That has been the conventional behavior for ladies. They act as if they're not interested in a man coming for them even when they love the man
A lot of ladies have lost one good man or the other because of their unnecessary "hard to get" attitude. They think the men will see them as being cheap if they accept their love proposals, therefore they choose to play expensive and uninterested while the man chase them around
A known female voice in Nigeria, a human right activist and an #endsars protester, Aisha Yesufu shared her experience during an interview, she told a brief story about her love life and how she met her husband, a story that many ladies consider "strange" but it did happen and she didn't die
Aisha confessed that she wooed her husband and asked him out for a date. According to her, she developed feelings for the young man and decided to give it a shot, she was bold enough to tell him about it and asked him out on a date, the young man accepted, of course, and they eventually started a serious relationship.
The rest is history, they're both happily married with kids today and heavens have not fallen on them especially the lady. These days our ladies make themselves goddesses and untouchable, they give men the impression that they're classy, expensive, and out of reach for the "common man"
Aisha saw a man she likes and went for him, that doesn't make her cheap and it didn't reduce her in any way. That singular act earned her some respect from the man, hardly can any mature and responsible man judge any lady as "cheap" for taking such a bold step but our ladies think otherwise and die in silence
The story of Aisha Yesufu reminds me of some ladies I've met my life, I was shocked to my bones when I realized that some ladies loved me and wanted to be close to me but they couldn't come close because they didn't want to make themselves cheap.
From where did they get that orientation?
Not only do the ladies not make it known to a man when they like them, they go as far as even turning down the men they love when they try to woo them, but some of them also end up losing the men of their dreams because they expect the men to come back after rejection, some men don't have that patience and tolerance to keep trying so they leave
The same ladies that turned down the men they love still expect them to come back and try more and if they don't come back the lady starts regretting and crying for letting their dream man slip off their grip. How on earth does that make sense to you?
Forming expensive, classy, or hard to get doesn't make a lady better or bigger than what she is and it doesn't make any man value you more than the rest, what matters most is the heart, love
If you see a man come for you and you like the man, please accept him. Forming hard to get is an old fashioned way and it no longer moves men to this day. The times are changing. Go with the times
cuddles to Aisha Yesufu and other women like her who know what they want and go for it

Issues with paternity tests
Technology has opened and civilized the world more than ever, a lot of things that were considered impossible in the past can now be achieved due to technological advancement in the world. Technology has developed the world in a way we never imagined and made life much easier
Technology made it possible for one to see another person who is in a faraway country and even apeak with them through video chat, technology made it possible for blood to be transferred from one individual to the other. These of course are among the least things we enjoy in our modern world due to technological advancement. There are a lot of good things we enjoy today, all thanks to technology
However, there are loads of other things that don't go well, or should I say, there are a lot of the technologies that we use in a bad way, one of them is the DNA test. Every technology was invented to help us and make life easy but when people start abusing them it can turn around to negative results
A DNA test has been in existence for many years in developed countries and they have used it to better the lives of the people over there but since it became common in my country, some people have turned it into something else. This does not mean that it's not abused in developed countries but the abuse is more here
Every little thing, people rush to DNA labs to determine their children's paternity. Most times when men go for DNA tests they don't consider the emotions of their children and even that of the wife if the test comes out in favor of the woman. I don't know why the DNA test is trending these days, every day we hear it on the news, we see families being torn apart because of DNA test, many innocent children rendered "fatherless" every day because of DNA test
I don't see the difference it will make for the man if he goes for a DNA test and finds out that his child is not biological, the result will not only hurt the child and traumatic them forever, it will also break the man's emotion and ego. So why do the test?
I think there are things we should just let be, some things are better left untouched because if you try to look into them there must be negative consequences. The truth is, no home will remain the same after a DNA test because if the result confirms that the man is not the father of his children, the children might suffer neglect from the man, and his love for them might decrease and lead him into indicating his responsibilities towards them. The man will also suffer emotionally, knowing that the children he had loved and cared for are not his will certainly break him down and puncture his ego as a man. Finally, the woman will be shamed but she will still get over it with time
On the other hand, if the result of the DNA test shows that the man is the father of the children, the trust between the couple will be permanently broken especially from the side of the woman and that home may never enjoy peace until they separate. So why do the test when it's clear that negative consequences most result from it?
Have you thought of the days when a DNA test was not out, did men go the extra mile to determine the paternity of their children?
I'm sure some of the men clamoring for DNA tests on their children might not even have been "fathered" by their fathers, but because the technology was not in place then, nobody bothered to ask. Some men would only suspect and keep quiet because they have no proof and their homes remained peaceful and united
I think we should change our mindset, a child is a child irrespective of paternity every child deserves care, every child deserves a father so don't deprive any child of that joy and privilege
Sometimes when the men clamor for this DNA test it appears as though they're angels who don't sin when in the actual sense they are even worse than women in that area, men are only "saved" by the fact that no matter how much they cheat they can never get pregnant.
I'm in no way exonerating the women or justifying cheating in any form, all I'm saying is that we should always try to resolve our issues without going too far, respect one another. If you truly love someone, you'll respect them and trust them
Let love lead
I know a lot of people will not agree with my thoughts on this DNA test issue especially the men, it is allowed for you to disagree but disagree constructively with clear reasons
I await your arguments in the comment section
Things have fallen apart
"Things have fallen apart, the center can no longer hold".
Those were the words of the late legend professor Chinualumogu Achebe, a man who saw tomorrow and cried out but no one cared to listen to him. Nigeria is now a silhouette of itself only existing in the mind of people who want to continue reaping where they did not sow
The foundation is hanging on falsehood and deceit and whenever the truth is revealed the whole building will come crashing. It is better to know and accept the bitter truth than to cover up lies with deceit, with guns and bullets
If you have been following recent stories from the major ethnic groups with regards to Fulani herdsmen terrorists in Nigeria, you would have noticed that nothing has ever separated the country more than the defensive mechanism and favoritism that the federal government has shown towards the terrorists over the years
The federal government has severally and continuously demonstrated openly and unapologetically that they value cows and Fulani terrorists more than the lives and well being of Nigerians from other regions, this has made each region foster unity among themselves and value their tribe more than the common interest of Nigeria as a country
The government has continued to fail Nigerians and deceive them, so they always look forward to anyone that can say a word and stand by it. Majority of the youths in the north throw their full weights behind Yerima Shettima the leader of the ariwa youth consultative forum because he seems to speak their minds on many issues, they listen to him and respect him in the north more than the president even though the president is also from the north
In the southeast, Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra is revered like a god, his followers run Into millions all over the world always waiting for his commands. People are always eager and willing to listen and obey whatever he says because they believe in him, they trust him and value him more than elected leaders from the southeastern region
The southwest seem to have gotten their hero in the person on Sunday Igboho, a human right activist who recently gave Fulani terrorists seven days ultimatum to vacate forests in the southwest or taste the people's fury, he visited Ogun state yesterday fulfilling his promise to liberate it from the grip of Fulani herdsmen who were being escorted into were bushes by the military against the wish of the people in that State
So, it's clear to even a blind man that Nigeria is divided into three major groups; arewa in the north headed by yerima shettima, Ipob in the southeast led by Nnamdi Kanu, and Oduduwa in the southwest led by Sunday Igboho. I may not be entirely correct as to what the people of each region want or whom exactly they want to be their leader. But one thing is sure, they are tired of lies and deceit from the government they voted for, the people are tired of being classified as second class and third-class citizens in their own country by few individuals who are not even bonafide citizens of the country
The people are enraged and the only thing keeping Nigeria together now is the power of guns and grenades, truth be told! The divide that we are seeing in the country is evidence that the people are tired of a forced marriage without terms and conditions, marriage without consent
Nigeria is a beautiful country blessed with great people and different resources but a few individuals sit on the wealth of the nation and impoverish the rest. The earlier the government brings everyone to the negotiation table, the better for everybody.
They are simply postponing the evil day compounding the consequences. If we still cherish our unity as a nation let's come together around the negotiating table with each region fully represented, let's point out the issues affecting the nation as a whole and shun ethnic or religious preference over the general interest of the nation. That's why we can thrive as a nation
Silencing people with guns and brute force cannot bring the desired peace and unity. You can kill the messenger but you can never kill the message, an ideology never dies, it's transferred from one person to another, from one generation to the next. If we want to be united we know what to do, let us do it. But if we're tired, we also know what to do, let's do it. Living in pretense or fear of guns will never do us any good, the underlying issues will always spring up now and then forever and ever. We should live peacefully as neighbors or friends than live as brothers in hatred and disunity Let's be reasonable. I love my country

Don't pray for BCH
People have a funny attitude of praying when they should be working, they keep praying over everything even the ones they can do by themselves they depend on prayer
Some people so much depend on prayer that they become lazy over the smallest thing they can do, they fold their arms and wait for their prayers and wishes to come to pass. I'm not disputing that prayers change things and I know that wishes come true but we have to do the needful for them to work out perfectly
I'm sure we are all aeeing what is happening in the crypto space right now especially with xrp, a coin that nearly disappeared into the air recently due to the case they have with SEC. A lot of people dumped the coin waiting for it to doe finally so they can join hands and bury it
Fortunately or unfortunately for the dumpsters, that same xrp that they gave up on is gradually coming back to life... Check the market and confirm it for yourself.
Suddenly people are rushing to buy back xrp just because it's pumping now, but when xrp was dipping they gave up and sold everything. Some of the dumpers are now in regrets wishing they didn't dump theirs. If only they had exercised a little more patient they would have become rich by now. That's how these things work!
Success is not achieved by praying (alone) success is achieved through hard work and perseverance, be patient and persistent when your working towards a goal
Some people are now praying and wishing for BCH to do some magic and get to 1,000 dollars overnight; it's very possible but that dream can't be realized by mere wishful thinking and prayers. If you want something, do something. If you want what happened with xrp to happen with BCH, do the needful now
Don't give up on that, invest in it so you don't regret later like some people are doing now, don't sell all you have even if BCH rises to 2,000 dollars today, keep it, hold it! Even if you have to sell, sell some and keep some, don't just dump everything!
The plan is to keep buying and holding until the value increases, don't depend only on what you get here on the platform. It's just a simple experiment, it could be higher or lower than 1,000 dollars by the end of the year, let's see how it goes. There's no harm in trying. BCH to 5,000 dollars is possible, we just have to make it more popular, buy more of it and hold
I say a big congratulations to all xrp holders who were patient and persevered even when every other person gave up. The same thing is going to happen with BCH very soon.
Congratulations in advance to all BCH holders, we're soon going to rejoice and be glad we held Into our dear coin
If you haven't bought yet, the opportunity is still here, buy as many as you can afford and keep in your wallet, BCH to 5,000 dollars is possible
Watch out for BCH bull!
This is not a financial advice, do your own research

The greatest motivation ever
It feels good when you're surrounded by good people who reason like and understand you better. Sometimes when you feel like giving up, just a word from a friend who understands is enough to put you back on track
I was having a chat with a friend of mine yesterday evening and he asked me "how is work?". I told him that we're trying our best and believing that the best will come. The next thing, he dropped a voice note, a very short note but the content, the message in the voice note almost moved me to tears
He said as long as I spend my data every day working online, as long as I don't just waste my data on unnecessary videos and other things, one day, I will have a major hit that will cover all the data and all the stress I've been passing through
Those words were short but they carry weight, I've been listening to that voice note over and over again digesting every word and memorizing them. I felt relieved, I felt as if all my troubles are suddenly over and I started smiling
I've been wondering how ordinary words from a friend could have such a huge impact on me. Then I realized that it's not just about the words, though the words are very important. When you see a friend that genuinely wishes you well, you know and it gives you a special feeling
Sometimes in life when we're passing through challenges, we don't need all the riches in the world, all we need is just encouragement from a heart that truly cares. Tonight remains very special and important to me because of those powerful words from a heart that cares
I believe those words with everything in me and I must say they're the best words of motivation I've heard so far this year, they came right at the right time when I needed them the most. You know there are some kind of words you need at a particular time, the time those words came was exactly when I needed them, words of reassurance and hope
If those words could motivate me this much I'm sure similar words can do wonders for other people. Take your time to observe people around you especially those facing one challenge or the other. Wish them well and encourage them. Words can go a long way in lifting a soul in trouble, words can also lead a would into depression or despair
Choose your words wisely and know what to say every time because knowing what to say per time is not as important as knowing when to say them. This is a very important part we need to know. You might have the right words to say to someone but if the time is not right those words might end up hurting that person rather than lifting them
Encourage your friends and family with your words and action, do it at the right time too

Prophesy fulfilled
Prophesy is the ability to see things before they happen and if one can see what will happen in the future, the person is considered a prophet or a seer. With some things that have happened recently, I think I'm qualified to be called "seer" and I deserve an apology from all those who doubted, those who didn't believe my prophecy. Maybe they didn't believe me because I was the one that made the prophecy, ordinary me
Many years ago, I told a group of people. No, I told many people that a time will come when the ladies of my generation will hunger and beg to hit the streets naked, I said this many years ago, over ten years now. Isn't that a prophesy, now it's gradually happening, isn't that a prophecy?
You may ask, where is it happening? And I will answer
On social media!
I'm sure we all are seeing the latest challenge trending on social media, it's called silhouette challenge. In that challenge, people turn on a red bulb in the room and start dancing naked! Stack naked, exposing their everywhere
What marvels me about the challenge is that majority of the people participating in it don't even know the origin of the challenge, they don't know the source nor who started it, they don't know the purpose for which it was started but they join anyway.
What does that tell you?
A lot of people have been "caged" and "forced" to wear clothes all these years, they've been looking for an opportunity to go naked and a nice one just presented itself in the name of "silhouette challenge"
People want to go naked but they are scared of going first, they want the first person to start it so that others can follow, I knew that a day like this would come so I was never surprised when I heard about the challenge
The challenge is a step towards the main challenge, silhouette is just like a test run of the main challenge which is "going completely naked". That's the destination, that's the real deal!
Now, people are comfortable, dancing naked inside a dark room and they're not ashamed to post on social media because everyone is doing it, it's not an issue for them. It's going to look strange to the rest of us for some time then it'll become normal
A time is coming when people will be comfortable without clothes, people will react badly about it just like a few sane people are reacting to silhouettes challenge now which is gradually becoming normal in the society. Yes! It'll soon become normal to everybody
I didn't see this in any dream or any vision like a prophet, no! It's simply by what has been happening with the world of fashion over the years. If you go back in time you will notice how clothes evolved from being a material that covers the body into one that reveals
So one will not need a special vision into the future, or a sooth water to tell us that the journey has a destination and that destination is nudity
Watch it! The fact that everybody or the majority is doing a particular thing doesn't make it right; what is wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it and what is right is right even if it's only one person that is doing it. Let's be cautious especially for the ladies
Also, remember that we're in a digital world where everything that enters social media stays forever and you can never retrieve what has gone viral on social media, the internet never forgets.
How would you feel in about ten or fifteen or twenty years from now when you're older and mature when you must have realized that those things you did when you were younger are wrong and then one of your old videos on the internet comes back to hurt you?
Or how would you feel if your spouse or your children come across those videos in the future and ask you questions about them, what will you answer, will you be proud of them?
Think about the future before taking action, evaluate yourself, see yourself from the eyes of other people especially your loved ones. Say no to what is wrong. Call a space a spade

Kitchen ethics
There are basic rules we have to obey when we are in the kitchen whether we're cooking or doing any other thing in the kitchen. A kitchen is a place where everything we eat is kept so we have to make sure it's always clean.
1. Cleanliness is the first rule we must obey in the kitchen because if the kitchen is not properly kept clean we could get food poisoning
Before you even do any other thing make sure the kitchen is clean if the floor is dirty pick up a broom and sweep it and mop it with clean water and soap because any food item might accidentally fall on the floor, you don't want to pick up an edible item from a dirty floor
2. Clean the cabinets, the cupboards, and every food contact surface in the kitchen so you don't mistakenly touch dust or dirt and introduce them unknowingly into your food and this can cause food poisoning. But if you mistakenly touch any of those places when they're not cleaned, make sure you wash your hands properly before touching your food or items
3. Cover your plates properly. After washing your plates, make sure there are well placed on the rack or tray, always turn them upside down. Turning them upside down will help drain water from the plates and also prevent dust and dirt from settling on the inside of the plate
4. Rinse the plates: even though the plates are properly washed and placed in the rack, there is still a need to rinse our plates before use, don't just pick a plate and use it without rinsing. When the plates are in the rack little insects might enter when we can't see and contaminate the plates so we must rinse before use
5. Never leave leftovers in the sink: sometimes we're too weak to wash the dishes so we leave them in the sink, that's a bad habit, and it's not good for anybody. Make sure all plates are washed immediately after use. Insects perceive food from afar and come around to eat the debris and leftovers in the plates. To avoid that, wash all plates immediately after use. Even if you can't wash immediately, make sure you scrape off all the food from the plates so they don't attract insects and rodents
6. Leave the kitchen cleaner than you met it: most times after cooking we are tempted to leave the kitchen immediately. Always make sure you clean up all the utensils you used after cooking because cleaning is still part of the cooking process. If you leave the kitchen after cooking or eating without cleaning it up then your cooking isn't complete. No matter how good your food tastes, if you don't keep the kitchen clean after cooking, you're a bad cook!
The list goes on and on and I will try to update us subsequently. As you can see, everything revolves around cleanliness, that's because cleanliness is very important especially when food is involved. Keep clean always to avoid food poisoning and sickness

How it all happened
There is a story behind everything in life and every story has a beginning. Some people start a story and some people join in the middle of the story, some people join towards the end of the story.
The most important and significant people however are the people that start the story. Ask me why
The beginning of a story is always the most important and people pay attention most to the beginning, it doesn't matter whether the beginning is interesting or not people just want to hear it so they know what to expect from the body of the story
The three major parts of a story are the introduction, the body, and the conclusion. After the introduction, the next part people look towards is the conclusion because it gives you a kind of summary of the whole story
Why am I talking about the story this early morning?
The crypto journey, the story behind cryptocurrency, and of course the father of cryptocurrencies, bitcoin
This morning I had a serious conversation with a friend of mine and he asked me why more people are not aware of cryptocurrencies. I paused for a while and asked myself the same question. Considering the number of people that are into cryptocurrency and the population of people in the world, the number is so infinitesimal
Another question I asked myself was, why were there only a few people that invested in bitcoin when it was very cheap and affordable?
Why didn't everybody embrace it then?, by now, there would have been lesser poor people by that number and more rich people, so I thought in my little mind. I didn't even consider the fact that what is happening now might have been exactly the way it happened in those days because history always repeats itself
It will surprise you to know that a lot of people believe that cryptocurrency is a scam, can you believe that?
People want to believe only what they understand, if they can't understand it, they believe whatever they can
Chinedu Mbamalu
I thought about a popular Nigerian exchanger which I believe the majority of the crypto traders in Nigeria are registered. I was shocked to know that out of over two hundred million Nigerians, only about ten thousand people are registered and out of the ten thousand, less than two thousand are active, probably the rest are not fully aware of cryptocurrency
Early last year, a friend told someone to invest in ethereum. The person refused and said it's a scam but he continued to monitor it while it grew and got to what it is today, he is now fully into cryptocurrency and he still regrets not taking the opportunity when he could
That was exactly what happened in the beginning when bitcoin was newly introduced, people didn't want to be among those that'll start the story, they wanted to join when the story has become successful and they ended up missing out completely
Be part of the history that others will learn from, don't just watch it happen
The wise learn from history while the fool watch it repeat
Chinedu Mbamalu
Be part of a story, take the bull by the horn, and be among the story makers that will inspire others in the future. Cryptocurrency has come to stay, key into it, and enjoy the benefits that come with it. Don't wait for others to do it and succeed before you can join
Do your research and invest in any project in cryptocurrency. Buy and keep. Buy 1up, ethereum, bitcoin cash, these coins are very prospective and I'm sure you'll make a whole lot of you about and hold. Do thorough research and invest. Be part of the story starters. Cryptocurrencies have come to stay

Nigeria new service chiefs; a cause to rejoice?
It's been an atmosphere of mixed feelings and reactions here in Nigeria after the chief of army staff Lt-gen Tukur Buratai and other service chiefs "resigned" from their offices. Nigerians have been calling for their resignation since 2015 that they assumed office because they don't seem bothered about the high and increasing rate of insecurity in Nigeria under their watch
Recall that the special adviser to the president on media and publicity Femi Adesina had continually defended them and defended the president for allowing the service chiefs to remain in their positions even after several calls by well-meaning Nigerian, including past presidents and leaders, to relieve the service chiefs of their duties but the presidency remained adamant as usual to the call of Nigerians
According to Femi Adesina, the service chiefs are the most competent and only the president has the right to appoint and sack service chiefs whenever and however he wishes, as if the president put himself there
Boko haram became worse and more powerful under their watch, killing people and moving about freely taking over peoples lands
Under their watch, Fulani herdsmen became so powerful and invincible at the same time, they move freely with arms to any part of the country, they kill and maim, rape women, kill people else in their homes and take over their land.
It will interest you to know that since 2015 to date, no single herdsman has been arrested, none has been sentenced nor prosecuted since 2015. They are the most dreaded and powerful set of people in Nigeria now, the untouchables. Touch or speak against them and you have the presidency and the entire Nigeria army to contend with
Sometimes I ask myself what is so special about Fulani herdsmen that made them untouchable, why do they still move about freely even when it's obvious to the blind that they're the major problem of the country?
Some people think they're protected because the president is also a Fulani man therefore the president doesn't want to demonize or hurt his brothers; well that might not be far from the truth but there's more to it
Remember all the killings perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen, agatu killings, udi killings, southern Kaduna killings, plateau state, the kidnappings, they even sack an entire community and take over their lands while the police and military watch
What exactly is their mission?
Why is the government protecting them?
These should be the question on every Nigerian's mind...
A more cause to worry about is the fact that the presidency which has been adamant and deaf to the call by Nigerians to replace his incompetent service chiefs suddenly woke up and realized that they have to go
They never realized this with all the tensions that we have faced as a nation, they never realized it in the face of all the terror attacks and gruesome killings by boko haram and Fulani herdsmen. It is now that the south has realized their enemy and set up security outfits to fight them head-on. Amotekun in the southwest and ESN in the southeast
"Coincidentally", this is all happening after Sunday Igboho issued a warning to the killer herdsmen in Oyo state, and ESN gave them a dose of their medicine in the southeast, and people are rejoicing and praising the presidency for changing his service chiefs
In his words, the president praised the outgoing service chiefs for their "overwhelming achievements in our efforts at bringing enduring peace to our dear country, ”
With the above statement by the president, do you still think they were " sacked" because of their incompetence? Think again!
And who is the new chief of army staff?
Major general Attahiru. Does that ring a bell?
Major general Attahiru was the man who was removed by Lt-gen Buratai in 2017 for incompetence, he could not lead an offensive against boko haram for reasons best known to him.
Now the same man is replacing someone who sacked him for incompetence in 2017, and you're expecting to see a change in the war against insurgency?
There's a problem, a big one. The earlier we realize that the war is them against us and not they against them the better for us, let us all unite and face the reality confronting us. A word is enough for the wise because he doesn't need many words to understand. A word is also enough for the foolish because he didn't understand many words
