School runs

A lot of things have changed these days including the way we do things and the names we give to some things.

Years back, when someone says "school runs" it means something different from what it means now.

If a parent says they're going for school runs, the only meaning to it is that they're either going to drop or pick their kids from school.

Those days when I was a student "schools runs" meant different things, can you relate? I was a bad boy. Lol

We used to tell lies to our parents then when we were in school and we'd term it "runs".

Sometimes we'd branch at a nearby field and play football after school, when we get home our parents would ask us why we came back late from school, we'd tell them that we had after school lessons, and still go ahead to even collect money from them for the same non existent lessons. I thought I was smart. SMH

Some bad boys would  spend their school fees on some irrelevant things, they'd tie bandage on their head and hands and tell their parents they were attacked by armed robbers, after everything the parents either give them another money or pay the fees themselves. Runs!

I remember a story of one boy that lied to his parents that he broke "tapioca" in the chemistry laboratory and was asked to pay for it. He was given a huge um of money by his parents to pay for the tapioca. Hahahaha. School runs!

Some bad girls would go visit their boy friends after school, and some would even not go to school at all. They'd always cook up one story or the other to cover up. Runs...

Youngsters did a lot of crazy and unthinkable things those days in the name of runs, just to belong. I really don't know if people still do such things now that kids carry mobile phones up and down.

Those acts were really bad but the kids enjoyed them. Some parents even knew some of those things but they just chose to play along with the kids

Feel free to share with us in the comment section. Did you do any of such things or know anyone who did?
