My Mindset In Achieving My Goals My life has never been easy. I am born into a family of farmers. We always strive to survive every day though we are always been lacking in financials. We still managed, though. We are immune to body pains and tiredness. As time pass by, I get sick of that life. So, I flee to the city where my Grandmother lives. I have been a working student and I graduated from my Senior High School. Currently, I am planning to go on with college and get a degree. I thank read.cash for giving me such an opportunity to make extra income which I save up. When this pandemic end, I will use it to go on with my plan. I'm suffering from being emotionally unstable for a very long time. There are times that I love to do it and a time that I completely lost interest so I have to consider it again, then think thoroughly. That is when I realize that I have to change myself for the better. So, I formulate my strategies which I will apply in my daily life. I have to control my emotions so that it will not affect my decisions in life. I already made a big mistake by being that way. It is why I am so determined to change my mindset. I hope that this can help all of you here, too. The Following Strategies I Made **Thinking Positively** A positive mind means a healthy mind. A positive mindset is the key to pursuing what we after in our life. Thinking positively can help us to think sharply so that we can be guided to the right path. **Never Mind All The Negatives** Some inevitably may judge you for your ideas for improving your life. For them, it may sound crazy and impossible. But, if you are determined to reached that goal in your mind. Build walls in your ears to block those non-helpful words. You don't need to hear that. **Motivate Yourself** There may be a time that you will slowly lose interest in things we want to achieve because no one is there to support you. No one is believing in your capabilities. They are all underestimating your skills. If no one is there for you, then stand up for yourself, you know what you can do. You know yourself better than them. **Have Faith** Having faith is the most important part. It is not what you see is what you will believe, it is when you believe then you will see. Have faith in the Highest, don't worry, ***God will provide***. He will give us what we deserve to have. We just got to have faith in Him. Also, of course, in ourselves. **Set Goals** You have to set your goals from the smallest to the big ones. It is better if you list it down. Every day, this is what I am doing, before going to bed, I an listing what goals I want to attain for tomorrow. Then, check it out if I did it. This method can also help us to avoid procrastination. **Focus** Focus is the name of the game of success. ***Focus on One Course Until you Succeed.*** Always keep an eye on your target. Don't let it go away and out of your eyes. **Take One Step At A Time** Begin with small beginnings. No one starts being an expert in a field they are new to. Walking in small steps continuously is better than jumping on bigger steps for a shortcut. **Begin With Small Goals** If you can achieve small goals, then you can achieve more. How can you achieve bigger goals, if you can't achieve the little ones, right? **Learn From Mistakes** If you fail once, it doesn't mean that you are a failure in your whole life. Analyze what has gone wrong before and improve it next time. It is just a trial and error until you do it perfectly. **Never Give Up** If you are determined that it is one thing you should then go for it. Be brave and strong. Giving up is only for cowards and losers. I have never been enthusiastic before but now it all changed because I have those ways to improve myself. I'm still traveling my journey to success but I have hope. I put all of that in my mind. I hope we have the same perspective in achieving our goals.

Disadvantages Of Learning From Home The **Department of Education and Commission on Higher Education** did a remarkable job by giving methods that can allow the students to learn from home. These methods are helpful and keep the students safe from the virus. However, these methods are still having disadvantages, or let's just say it is not going smoothly as expected in some places. Since this has been implemented, there are no days of not receiving complaints from the parents, students, and even from the teachers. Social media platforms have been flooded by posts about different complaints to the said department. Some trolls on Facebook are making fun of the issues and they are happily making fun of it, then continue trolling around. Disadvantages I will enumerate these advantages and explain this one by one to deliver further information. **1. Connectivity.** Some places like rural areas mostly have this problem. Rural areas have a limited number of cell sites so the network signals in a place like that are distributed unevenly and always unstable. This is not enough to take online classes. It this even hard to surf the internet, make a call, or send a message. People here often climb the roof of their houses, search for higher places, or even climb a tree just to get network signals. So, in places like this, the most recommended type of learning is **Modular Lessons**. **2. Tools.** We all know that not all families are financially stable to provide for the needs of their children such as cellphones, tablets, PC or laptops, and the internet. This is mostly the problem for students in rural areas and sometimes even students who are in urban areas are still lacking these tools. Though, the students in urban areas have alternative resources to keep up with their classes. They can easily go to the nearest computer shop or the city library which have computers and the internet unlike in the rural areas where houses are further from the roads and electricity. **3. Areas.** The geography of the place can also be a disadvantage in learning from your home. Mostly affected are rural areas that can't be reached by media coverage. Especially residents in mountain areas, agricultural areas, places that don't phone signals, or residents living further away from highways with no means of transportation. This kind of place is a hindrance for teachers which made them sacrifice their safety traveling just to deliver the modules and give instructions. **4. Parent's Knowledge Capacity.** There are situations that parents do not have the educational background or an undergraduate. If their student is elementary, how can they be able to guide them at home if they can't even understand those simple lessons? This is a great challenge now to the teachers on how they will handle this kind of situation. It's either the teachers will talk to them on phone, the students will listen to the **DepEd broadcast** on the radio, or they can watch **DepEd Tv Channel** on their TVs at home if they have. **5. Activities Overload.** This is the number one problem of students as of now. This is always the issue in all social media platforms. Many students are so stressed and burned out already because of never-ending activities that they are working on every day. In some instances, some students as of now are having mental issues and some students committed suicide already because of being frustrated and depressed by these overloading activities. Just imagine the burden that has been given to us of this pandemic. The whole world is in big distress right now. It is quite frustrating, depressing, and painful to see how this all goes and we can't do anything about it right now but to stay at home and follow safety measures. My final Thoughts Even though we can't go to school to meet our classmates and teachers, let's just be thankful that we could still learn in different ways. If there will be a time that you feel you can't take it anymore, just remember that you are not the only one suffering that way. You are not the only one who is stressed right now. You are not the only one who doesn't know how to understand their lessons properly. You are not the only one who can't gather information for their research properly. You are not the only one who has never-ending assignments and outputs. You are not the only one who is taking exams with unstable internet. So, keep your head cool, **EVERYBODY DOES!**

Learning From Home Due To CoVID-19 Since the COVID-19 virus rapidly spread out around the globe and later on becomes pandemic, there are many aspects in our life that have been put in risk and are greatly affected. As you can see in the news, those businesses being bankrupted, mental health issues arising, physical health is at risk, essential goods always running out, prizes getting doubled, whole countries are lockdown, and etc. These effects greatly changed us in every way. It is like a *'survival of the fittest'.* One of the areas that is greatly affected is the **Department of Education** and **Commission on Higher Education.** As a result, the opening of the classes opened very late last October 5, 2020 instead of the normal opening that is set always in the first week of June. The Government see to it that the future of the students will not be ruined. Then, they immediately take a specific action about the issue. The strategy they proposed is what they called **Blendid Learning**. Wherein, it will fit according to the location of schools. They had suggested 3 options which a student will choose that will fit their location. **The first one is Modular Learning.** In this type of learning, either a teacher will deliver the modules to each students' houses and collect them also every week or the parents will come to the school every week to take home those modules and at the same time pass the modules that is already been answered. This is applicable to the students who can't afford stable internets, laptops, tablets or phones, and having bad signals in their places to join the online classes held everyday. **The second strategy is the Online Class.** If a student has the equipment to be qualified then he/she can freely join the online meeting. Regular classes are observed here wherein a teacher is joining supervising and teaching the students. The advantage of this is you can ask your queries to the teacher directly. **The third strategy is mixed Modular and Online Class.** If a student can't catch up with the online class due to poor connectivity of the internet sometimes, they can ask for modules. In this way, they can have additional notes and can review their lessons anytime even after the online class. Students can freely choose what type of learning what they want to take part in. This sounds manageable. It has no anti-poor or pro-rich in this. There is no reason for implementing an academic freeze. DepEd and CHED had done a remarkable job.

Tips To Avoid Sleep Deprivation You probably having sleep disorders right now that's why you read this article. Worry no more! As I have said in my previous article, I will write another one about it or a simple follow-up article. So this is it, thanks for your effort in reading this. Being sleep-deprived isn't easy, considering that the effects are not that simple. Ongoing habits of this put our daily lives to suffering or being tortured by its effects. The results of these effects do have great impacts on what we do, considering our work, studies, proper body rest, and even our health. Here are my tips for you to prevent a lack of sleep. **Maintain sleeping hours.** Try to make it a habit of scheduling your time for bedtime and time to wake up. Sleeping at the same time at night and waking up at the same time in the morning, is the best way to practice proper bedtime rest. **Try not to take a nap during the day.** Taking naps during the day can lessen your sleeping hours at night making it hard for you to sleep. **Try to avoid nicotine, caffeine, and alcohol intakes during the day.** If you can avoid it then very good but if you can't control those bad habits then try lessening it. Coffee in the morning is fine but drinking coffee at 2 pm or so in the afternoon is not. Avoid also drinking alcohol during the day. Do not smoke 3 hours before bedtime. **Get regular exercise.** Do not exercise in the afternoon until night because it stimulates our brain and body to be more active. It is best in the morning to wake up our sleeping nerves, and it regulates our blood flow making our mind sharp and being productive. **Try doing to-do list before going to bed.** If you are stress thinking about other activities you haven't done yet, list it all down. If you have something in mind you that you can't snap away and bothering you, then write it down. In this way, somehow it can clear up your mind and lessens the pressure and stress you are dealing with. This can relax you a bit. **Try reading a book.** If you can hardly shut your eyes for not feeling drowsy, then read something until your eyes are tired. I can recommend you to read such as boring or uninteresting topics for you. That one can trigger sleepiness because if you read interesting topics or stories, it will just hype you up and your mind is getting more active. That makes it harder for you to sleep. **Make sure your bed is comfortable.** Set up your bed first in a way that you are comfortable lying in it. Turn off the lights if you are comfortable sleeping in a dark room or you can turn on a lampshade if you are comfortable sleeping with the lights on. Make sure that your room is not too cold and too hot. **Try listening to music while lying in bed.** Put earplugs or leave your radio on. You can also play a song on your phone without earplugs. Play some genre that is like a lullaby and comfortable enough for your ears. Just leave it playing, later on, you will fall asleep without knowing what song is still playing. If you have tried all of that, a good job for you. Just do it every night until you make it a habit. If it works for you, then great to hear that. If it still doesn't work, then maybe that is the time that you should consult a medical specialist regarding your health conditions. It is best to follow those tips if it still mild sleep deprivation but if you feel that it is bad, we wouldn't know if that is insomnia or you have other diagnoses that are affecting your sleeping patterns. Prevention is better than cure. If you can prevent sleep deprivation while it is still just in progress, discipline yourself to prevent it.

@Ching

Back on track and doing well. Thank God. 😍

@Ching

Effects of Sleep Deprivation *Do you experience doing nothing but still feeling tired? Do you experience memorizing something but in the end you still forget it? Do you experience having trouble focusing on things like in studies or work? Do you experience eating so many but still you gain nothing? Or gaining weight excessively even though you eat just fine?* **That's probably the effect of not getting enough sleep**! Effects of sleep deprivation have 2 terms, **the short term, and long term effects.** Short terms effects are: **Lack of alertness.** First thing in the morning, you are like missing time for 1.5 hours or so. **Excessive daytime sleepiness.** This means you are always grumpy, clumsy, and get tired easily of doing simple things only. **Impaired memory.** Always being a sleepyhead makes you lost your focus or can't focus at all. You concentrate on memorizing some phrases and then another thing occurs to your mind, just like that, you forget it again. **Relationship stress.** You're like always in the bad mood. First thing in the morning and you're day is ruined already. Always feeling like you want to pick a fight when someone wants to have conversations with you. **Inactiveness.** Always want to sit in a corner. You are losing interest in anything. It feels like you are always drained and not having enough energy to do things. While long term conditions are: **Diabetes.** With the ongoing sleep loss, it lessens your insulin and your hormone level is knocked down. The body secretes more cortisol that makes us stay awake and in that case, it is harder for the insulin to do its job effectively. That means more sugar is stacked up leading you to acquire Type 2 Diabetes. **High blood pressure.** Sleeping helps the blood to regulate. Lack of sleep means your blood is less regulated which leads to higher blood pressure. **Heart failure or stroke.** Having high blood pressure had always been the cause of heart failures, heart attacks, and stroke. **Obesity.** When you are lacking sleep, it lessens your Leptin (the hormones that tell us to stop eating). That means more Ghrelin (the hormone for appetite), this can make us want to eat more when we stay out late. It also slows down metabolism functions which make us gain more weight and worse is being obsessed. **Depression.** Sleep deprivation is a strong cause of mood disorders and makes us overthink things, sometimes leads to acquiring panic disorders. **Impairment in immunity.** The improper habit of staying out late at night disrupts our immune system. So, if you ever catch a cold and flu so easily, then you should likely blame your incomplete bedtime rest. Always lacking sleep can affect appearances. By continuing this habit, over time, it can lead to the formation of premature wrinkles and dark circles underneath our eyes (also known as eye bags). Chronic sleep deprivation can also increase stress hormones (Cortisol) in the body. As it increases, it can breakdown the protein that keeps our skin smooth called Collagen. So the more you stay out late at night, the faster you look older and mean more wrinkles. If you probably want to stay looking younger as always, you better get enough sleep. If you're feeling threatened by these facts, you better improve your sleeping habits. If you can't do anything about it, it is the best time that you should see and consult a medical specialist about your underlying conditions before it is too late. `I think I'm gonna write a follow-up article on proper sleeping hours and how to avoid staying out late. I'm in a mood writing about this topic so that's it.` `Thank you for lending your time to read my article. Have a good day and God bless!`

Good To Be Back! A Good Day To All Read.Cash Users Here! So, I have been inactive for 3 weeks or so. After that long vacation, this will be the first article that I published. To be honest, I lost my interest in writing here, so I take a rest for a while. For the past few days, all that I'm doing is playing mobile games, watching movies and anime, and reading e-books. I got tired and bored with all that stuff so, I have come to think about writing here again. And, here I am. As I open my notifications, this is the one thing I have seen first. Followed by this one and this one, This a lot of encouragement. I also considered this as my welcome bonus in being active here again. Thanks, read.cash! I had come up with a topic to write for my next article already. I am currently creating an outline of ideas for it. Probably, my next topic would be depression again since it is very common at this time of the pandemic. I just want to inform my readers about how important our mental health to be always healthy. Discrimination is also a cause of depression of those who tested positive for COVID - 19 leading them to commit suicide. It is sad to hear news about it. Let's help each other by doing safety protocols. Always stay safe, stay at home if necessary. God bless everyone!

Teachers Dramatization: Should Be Praise Or Criticize? The photo of the Teachers from Batangas, Philippines went viral on the internet 2 days ago. It becomes the headline of most of the pages on Facebook and is featured on the news websites. But, what is really going on with this photo? What it is really all about? Did they do it for fame? Did they just get bored because there is no face to face classes? The photo shows 8 Teachers at the roof of the school building holding their mobile phones and modules. This catches the attention of the netizens in the whole Philippines. Some say it is too much like they are only overacting. Other netizens give sympathy for the teachers and pay respect to them. In the current situation here in the Philippines, we are experiencing poor internet connections. That's why the classes are not all online and turn into blended learning by using an alternative way since the face to face classes is still prohibited because of the virus. Students who can not afford the equipments for online classes can choose modular lessons. As of the start of classes last October 5, many complaints from teachers and students have been received. Mostly, it is the poor internet connection. Students and Teachers are experiencing this in many regions in the Philippines especially in those rural areas. Network signals are out of reach that they have to go to a higher area in their place, climb a tree, or climb the roof of their houses and school buildings in search of stronger signals. They sacrifice doing this every day just to update the students and also for the students to submit their activities. This situation motivates the Teachers in Batangas to come up with an idea to make a movement. So, that is what they did. They climb to the roof of the school building with phones, modules, and routers. They dramatize the situation of searching for stronger signals and take a picture of it. Then, they posted it on the social media platform called Facebook. It happens to be viral on the internet up until now. Some pages like in the photo criticized them. Others who are commenting are making rude comments. But for me, it is not being overacted. It is for the sake of the message they want to portray to awaken those Telecommunication Companies who are not doing their service well. I hope we should not criticize those Teachers immediately by seeing the photo once. Research proper information about it before leaving a comment. We didn't know their whole story. We didn't feel how they are really struggling. So please, **RESPECT OUR TEACHERS**.

The Silver Lining Of This Pandemic As I have said from my last article, I will elaborate more on it on my next one. So here it is! *Read here* if you have not seen the first one. https://read.cash/@Ching/motivating-oneself-in-this-time-of-pandemic-3b2ed18c A **SILVER LINING** is defined as a sign of hope in negative times. Also, can be a positive advantage in times of negative situations. *An example of this is a rainbow right after the rain and a cloud with a silver lining.* This means whatever problems we have, big or small, there is a solution. Even if we are in our darkest moments, there is still a glimpse of light that is waiting for us to embrace it, to enlighten us. This pandemic surely brings a lot of frustrations with us. A lot of depression, and even economic recession. I'm sure we all are focusing on solving this pandemic and free the nations from the virus. But, did anyone of us thinks about the positive effects of it? *Just a few us, of course.* What are the good things to be found in this time of pandemic? *Let me count.* **First, this situation brings us closer to our family.** As the effects of home quarantine, we are not able to go where we want to go unless it is necessary. For 6 months of quarantine, we have been able to spend most of it on our family. We have known what is lacking to fulfilled. We have made quality time together that strengthens the bond within us. **Second, this situation reminds us to strengthen our faith in God.** We can't deny the fact that before this pandemic happens, sometimes we forgot to pray and worship our God. And now we have been reminded once again to keep our faith in Him. We had realized the importance of worship. So, even if we can't go to church, we just stream on TV or on the internet to watch Sunday Mass and worship. We are always praying now for the safety of our loved ones, frontliners, and the whole world from the virus. **Third, this time of the pandemic, we had brought the beauty of some tourist destination and reserved it.** Like the parks in Baguio, it is now been beautified again. The Manila Bay, even if some are against the white dolomite sand that is being put in there, still, it can't change the fact that garbages floating on the shore had been reduced. The beauty of it is slowly shining again. **Fourth, air pollutants are reduced.** Since, travels in air, land, and water are reduced, pollutant gas that is floating in the atmosphere is slightly reduced. It has been news in the last few months that we are now experiencing a clearer sky. That's a very good thing for all of us and to our Ozone Layer. **Fifth and my last observation, this time, we had known those elected officials that ineffective and corrupt.** If you are reading newspapers, watching the news on TV, listening to the radio, or any other medium you use to catch the latest news, sure you know what is clearly going on in the government. We identified now who is responsible, who is careless, who is corrupt, and how ineffective is the leaders in implementing the rules. It is clear enough now how slow the government responds. At least, we all know who we will not vote and who we will be worthy enough to be elected in the next 2022 elections. *If you have found out any good during this pandemic that I haven't listed, let me know by sharing your thoughts in the comment section.*

@Ching

Motivating Oneself In This Time Of Pandemic Since the urge of Covid-19 uprises, the whole world suffered. The Government of each country is implementing lockdown and quarantines. Every day, they are providing minimum to maximum safety measures to avoid the spread of the virus. But since the virus is unseen to the naked eyes, still, there are being infected every day. If you can ever go to the supermarket, what do you see? People are panic-buying, right? They are afraid of the thought that scarcity might take place since lockdown in each place is being implemented. If you ever go to your workplace, what do you see? Your co-workers are wearing protective equipment, of course. But before you can get inside, what will the Security Guard do to each one of you? Yeah, the guard will point a thermal scanner gun on your forehead to check your temperature. Can you still see tourists sightseeing in our beautiful places? **NO**. Can you still see people dining in every meal in restaurants? **NO**. Can you still see people standing by the streets? **NO**. Our means of transport are limited in numbers. People are struggling every day to get to work or to places they want to go. It is been harder and harder every day for commuters. Frontliners are risking their lives every second to protect us and our lives. Some of them are also being infected by the virus. Many of them are complaining every day for they are already out of numbers. They are already working overtime every day and sometimes it's around the clock. Stress is everywhere now. Wherever you are and whatever your status is. Whatever you do, you seem like you can't get away with it. It is something to worry about every time overthinking takes place and falls into depression. What do you we gonna do in times like this? First of all, **PRAY EVERY TIME**, and your worries will go away. Whatever it is we are suffering right now, always look for the **SILVER LINING**. **STAY STRONG! KEEP YOURSELF MOTIVATED!** Be always thankful that we are safe. Practice all safety measures and you are good. Whatever it is we are all dealing right now, always bear in your mind that this will gonna **END**. As the famous quote says, ***'There is a rainbow after the rain'***. I will elaborate this further on my next article. I hope this article of mine can lift your spirits higher. Kindly hit like, subscribe, or upvote if you like this one and so that I will be encouraged to write more like this. **THANK YOU!**

You can earn thereby answering featured surveys, daily reward claim, team action, making tasks in Sponsored Actions, and inviting. Cashout is only through Paypal with a minimum of $10. If ever you are interested in this app, just register with this link: *Click here*. https://gobigtoken.page.link/EUCP7XUqdv1ztyCj7 Then write this invitation code: **ZNIP257AA** to get extra bonus points. *Happy earnings!*

Social Media App That Pays! I have found this social media app that is currently paying. It is paying through Paypal only. All you have to do is to sign up with the link: https://invite.tsu.social/ZvWP Then log in to your profile. The best thing about is you just to post original contents and the app will instantly put ads to your posts. You will earn more if your friends and followers click and watch the ads on the **Support Me** button under you every post. So far that is the earnings I accumulated for my efforts. It seems to be justified for I am a newbie there. Redemption of earnings to Paypal is processed only on Mondays and Thursdays. *Sharing is caring. Happy earnings everyone!*
