Woke up with sadness all over me. I never been this sad after finishing a kdrama series. Reply 1988 is a film that targets not only about bitter sweet romance but also friendship, dream, and family. I love how the movie made me realize a lot of things. Highlighting different roles in a family (mom, dad, children) enables me to put myself in their shoes that helps me understand them more- especially moms. I miss my dad even more. Childhood friendship of the characters made me appreciate my friends more than before. My heart breaks for Jung Hwan who can't confess his love because of tons of hesitations, until it's too late. The characters finding what their dreams are is on point, there are some who already knew from the beginning what they want to become but some just grow a likening into something as time goes by. It shows not to concern yourself if others are already reaching their dreams because we all have our own timeline. I love how the drama broke my heart over and over again.
