Very much nanghihinayang with the fact that we have a local nuclear research Institute here yet we don't have a functioning nuclear power plant. The current designs on those plants and the kind of sources they've been focusing on in the NRI have been less radioactive. But then restoring the nuclear plant in batangas would be bad too because super outdated equipment but it wouldn't be such a bad idea to establish a new one
Napaka habang usapin parin yan ngayon, grabeng sayang nung sa bataan powerplant andaming nagsasabi na it's for the better kasi yung negative impacts nya is malala but then, may mga ginagamit tayong resources na much worst ang effect. I also think that restoring the powerplant in bataan is not a good idea, masyado ng matagal at luma and mas mataas ang magiging cost ng pag renovate so mas maganda magbuild ng bago the question is kaya ba ng country natin maghandle ng gantong plant, mula sa pag build hanggang pagmaintain.
Bataan pala, i was thinking batangas 😂😂😂 but yeah. It's sayang, we went to check that plant out one time and sayang talaga. Super complete ng stuff, ready na sana to run kaso ns shut down yung project. Now the outdated materials though. Kaya naman i recycle or i preserve as is parang for display na lang yung equipment kaso if it's for usage na. Much better talaga na rebuild from scratch. The equipments now are better and less costly to maintain, the researchers are trying to make things less toxic too. That's why ang daming suggestion about using light activated nanoparticles as an energy source if ayaw ng pinas ng radioactivity but then nobody listens kasi nobody in the higher ups are science people kaya ang daming nasasayang na good projects such as this one
"Bakit ba kayo puro research para san ba yang research, ako matalino akong tao pero blahblah" if government officials such as the one who said that phrase think that way, well goodbye good projects. Or yung isa naman nagsabi na pag ubos (or something) na daw ang tubig inumin kumuha daw sa ocean, ughh grabe kastress. Andami proposed na good projects in line with science to help the progress of our country kaso daming kanser na nakaupo so wala nauuwi lang sa papers.
😂😂😂😂 there was this cool proposal i saw on ted talk though where they used styro as a precursor for activated carbon to make water cleaner and a more effective desalination project din in the case we'd need to get our water from the oceans kaso wala talaga. Popularity based and political dynasties tayo dito. Science people here want to provide solutions kasi, not manage people. It's mych harder to manage people than solve problems. Yung mga umuupo kasi sa pwesto mga mayayabang talaga. Gets on my nerves too 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ that's why it's hard here. And why the researchers here would rather not have their research patented here. Nakakaurat lang
🤦🏻🤦🏻 tapos kapag may magandang study na naimplement ng pinoy sa ibang bansa proud na proud hanggang proud nalang. Na kung tutuusin tayo dapat yung nakikinabang ng mga invention and innovation ng co-filipino but since we can't receive support from our government wala ibang bansa nakikinabang.
You should check the alloted research fund per researcher dito. Mas magagalit ka lang 😂😂😂😂 yung feeling na if you pursue research here, parang ikaw pa may utang sa government. It's why researchers here really aim abroad kasi research funds there, nasa 500+ to some 1,000usd. That's enough a start up for research na. While dito, bahala ka. Sayang nga mga UP research and papers eh. Naka archive lang. Sayang din DOST natin cuz if you ask them for help sa publication, don't be surprised if mananakaw research mo or if it just gets stored in their archives. They never get applied talaga
Yeah. The people that run the country really makes things hard for the researchers talaga so it shouldn't come as a surprise that we don't develop much as a country. Kaya naman talaga w
