Warning ⚠️ Long Post OPINION ABOUT A SPECIFIC POST REGARDING COURSES ALLOWED FOR LIMITED F2F Hi, you can keep scrolling if you find this boring haha. I just want to express my thoughts regarding one post about the allowed courses to have a limited f2f sooner or later. Every student in the Philippines (or in other places) under online set up are really struggling. This set up is draining all our energies and honestly we can't learn the necessary learnings that we should. Most (if not all) of us are asking for limited f2f classes. Recently, CHED released the list of courses that will be allowed. Upon scrolling on my fb feed, I saw a post with a screenshot of CHED's announcement and her caption is like "Education student also need f2f and if it weren't for us there'll be no future engineers, doctors, blahblah". This caption made me flinch and frown a little. I went on the comment section which made me more disappointed. (I attached some of the comments and the last one is what I agreed the most) There are comments saying, our government is ignoring them (educ students) and how they badly need f2f as well. Also, some said that we are belittling them and think lowly of their course. The thing is no one is belittling them, CHED and our government is not ignoring them just because they're not included with priority courses. Being in a "PRIORITY" courses doesn't mean that one is better than the other. Those courses our dubbed priority during this time because they need practical training and laboratory processes which cannot be done at home. For example, doctors, nurses, and medtechs will you trust them to treat you if all they did is watch videos about how someone's illness should be treated? Another is engineering, as a Chemical Engineering students, we're struggling with the lessons because we can't do a hands-on laboratory experiment and relying on simulation lab doesn't always help. Most importantly to us seniors who will not graduate if we can't finish our thesis-which required lab experiment. TAKE NOTE THAT WE CAN'T DO THE EXPERIMENT AT HOME. No equipment and it's not safe plus impurities will be everywhere thus making the results less accurate. Education is a course that one should be flexible. I salute how people under this field can adopt to changes and circumstances. CHED not including them in priority to undergo f2f doesn't mean they are being neglected. Let's read and understand the context. ALL courses should be under f2f again but we can't prioritize all given our situation. Let's wait a little longer for things to go back to normal. I just get irritated with the cliche phrase "kung di dahil sa guro eh wala namn magiging doctor, enhinyero at kung ano pa", yesss it's bcoz of teachers that these professions exist but really? You can't always throw us that analogy in every arguments. Dude issues differ so as reasoning.
