Today, hand-knitted clothes from Sirogojno (Serbia) are recognizable for their landscape motifs, paintings of Zlatibor's nature of luxurious colors, mostly embroidered on clothing items. The art of knitting was recognized in the 60s of the last century as an opportunity for the inhabitants of Sirogojno and the surrounding area to earn an income, and at the same time take care of their families and household. Organized production of knitted clothes in domestic handicrafts began in 1962 within the Agricultural Cooperative in Sirogojno.
