TODAY ARE FLOWERS, ONE OF THE MOST JOYFUL HOLIDAYS On the last week before Easter, the Serbian Orthodox Church celebrates the solemn entry of Jesus Christ into the holy city of Jerusalem. Believers celebrate Flowers, a holiday with customs inextricably linked to the awakening of nature and the flourishing of new life. The Feast of the Flower is celebrated in all Christian countries, and the Evangelists note that Jesus was greeted at the city gates with flowers and palm leaves, which people threw at his feet. The entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem is also called royal - "Behold, your King goes to you meek."
