The plum harvest has begun. The plum is said to be the rose of our orchards. Plums and plum growing have always been given great importance in Serbia. They say that the house used to be built on the place where the plum tree grows best. In some areas, instead of the usual oak tree, Christmas plums are cut. No ceremony can pass without plum brandy (no wedding, no celebration, no baptism ...). Brandy is often mentioned in folk songs, stories, legends ...
