The biggest gourmet festival in the Balkans, the Leskovac Barbecue Festival, is being held these days in Leskovac, a town in southern Serbia. This event affirms the preparation of culinary specialties from the grill, better known as the Leskovac barbecue. In seven days, the event is visited by more than 500,000 visitors from Serbia and abroad, and thus places it at the very top of tourist events in Serbia. Every year, the biggest burger for the Guinness Book of Records is traditionally made at the Barbecue Festival, and in 2018, a three-member team broke its own record by making a burger weighing 66 kilograms and 100 grams.
