Dealing With Competition

Competition are always around us, sometimes they are not aware we take them as a competition but we know deep down within us, it's all about how we perceive them. Right from our young ages there were always competition, be it in our classes competing for top positions, be it in streets competing for who can play soccer more, or who can play the streets game more, or grown ups competiting for who would steal the heart of the young lady, or the lady finding a way to get the man to love her, or in the offices competiting for who would gain the favour of the boss, or earn the contract, simply put life has competition every where we look, and we need to deal with it.

We must learn to deal with competition, though its dependent on the situations of things and how the opponent is to us. Knowing how to deal with competition is a useful tool to a successful life. Many don't see the need to bother about competition but that is wrong, we hear to be bothered and treat it urgently. This way we are more at peace. No one ever agree to the fact that someone is their competition as though admitting it would make them lose, this ideology is wrong also. Admitting on competition, not necessary telling the person, but simply admitting it within yourself would help you work intentionally to solving it.

Getting into a place, I already know those who are my likely possible competition, I mean those who can outshine my works and steal the show leaving me at the background. Next I think if there are any reason for a competition, is there any need to see this young man or young lady as a competition, are there any reason for me trying to step up and outshine this person. Sometimes there are absolutely no need to outshine that person except you only want to upgrade yourself, for example in church where everything is voluntarily, no price attached, there should be no need to be active on competition except you only want to upgrade yourself. However we still find competition in churches.

In offices, there are need to step up and see to outshine the competition, lot of reasons in fact. Though we should ensure we go through the right way, the right way because going through dubious means would never last long, in fact going through the wrong route would only lead to a future ruin, surely it would always lead to a road block and more catastrophe should caution not be taken. So best way of dealing with the competition like in places like my workspace is simply to be more hardworking than I was before, top up the game, seek out ways to improve and be better. It's not the easy route but surely the best.

Another thing I look out for is my relationship with the person. Sometimes the person I take for a competition could be so good and accommodating, oh you just can't help loving the person. For such people, they might be building such characters just to gain favour but either way the character is the character and such attitude deserves nothing short of a good act also. Such people I draw close and even learn from them. Build a healthy relationship so symbiotic that you both carry each other along, this way it's no longer as a competition but as team work, here both of you learn from each other and improve.

Some others are very uptight, in fact you see it in their attitude that they are so keen on getting you down, they don't necessarily want your excelling all because of the role you play as its conflicting with theirs, and possibly a threat to their further existence in that place of work. What do you do, as for me it's game on. I stay good, I'm not planning on anything wicked or a blackmail, but its game on, I'm seizing every opportunity to do my best and constantly learn to upgrade. Learn, upgrade, be careful, and waste no opportunity is what I look out for. Well it's because I need to.

What is our priority, its family first, so the job was because I needed to earn to take care of the family, so trying to please someone or trying to get the competition to like you, isn't the way forward. It could be better to focus on the job, bearing in mind there is a competition, a likely competitor who can take your benefits away from you, so you focus and upgrade, seize all opportunities to be better and improve, try so hard not to engage in anything bad or evil. We stay good so that even God can be on our side, all this helps us to win. The main goal is to win right. We work forward to win at last, and we have to win rightly. Dubious means never profits long.

You know your competition, you know them even when you don't tell them so, you know those people who you just wish something bad can happen to, something to get them out of the way, and get your mind at ease. However wishes are not horses so we have to keep seeing their faces from time to time, this often get our hearts racing and our mood angry most times, while we are lost in thoughts, especially in the area of work or relationships. Relationship could be worst cause your imagine goes far, thoughts like "where is he now", "could she be at his house now", what if they are..... oh no", all this bothers our peace, competitions whether we admit it or not, is an issue we should see to resolve soon, or know our stand.

We compete virtually for everything possible life can present us with. Just like me, I compete for those things I feel I have due knowledge in so that I don't end up making some unwanted mistakes

Hmm, I don't really understand you yet, but we are indeed faced with competition in almost everything.

I'm one of those guys who doesn't take the competition seriously, I just do what I love and I do it very well to the best of my capabilities, if another person outshines me then good for her or him, I learn from them and improve on myself. I don't really see a competitor or competition rather, I see a teacher, someone who is better than me and I, the humble student ready to learn.

Yeah I can relate to you, I like to think I'm like that too, but overtime I've seen the need to intentionally work harder and set a target, especially when there's someone capable of taking the spot. I know what would happen would happen but even the bible exclaims the fact that the violent takes it forcely.
