Unexpected Confession 07|31|2021✨ Good day, buds! I wish you all the best in life. *I am supposed to feel that 'kilig' but why? Where did all the butterflies go?* One productive morning at work, I got a message notification from a friend ( my workmate who is enjoying his restday sanaol ) asking "out naka? naa ko e tell nimo, serious aka e story", he was asking if I'm out from work and said that he has something serious to tell. Right then, I responded, "no, I'm just taking my break time, and then asked if what was it about that he's going to tell." I received no response from him so I get back to work right after. Let me give you a bit of a background of how we get to know each other. We met in the company that I am working for now. At first, I thought he's gay coz he looked the same as my gay schoolmate in the university I graduated from. We get to talk to each other because on our first day on the job, we were tasked to create a group with 6 members and do some short presentations in front of everyone who was also newly hired. And boom! We're in the same group haha. We had a 5-minute consensus to decide what to present. I nominated him to do the part but he declined, he's too shy that day as I remember. Beginning that day, we used to tease each other. But we suddenly lost of communication after endorsement day. But we met again after 4 months. And this is when everything started. We're both surprised to see each other. He's still skinny and gay. Lol. We are under the same team. I was happy to meet him again. Days passed, we started teasing each other again like before. I teased him for being so gay and he kept on teasing me for not having a boyfriend. ( magbuot baya! Haha) I have a circle of friends also, I have Joel "my tiyoo" and Pinang "my bibii". We named our group 'OLDIES'. We eat our lunch together everyday. Everyday in " Pungko-Pungko", we love to order ginabot, lumpia, plus maraming suka at bawang. After a week, this gay friend + teammate of mine unexpectedly become part of OLDIES. The friendship we build was very unexpected. It just happened so fast. We become so close talaga. And I'm so blessed to have them. So, going backkkk ... to the confession thing. This confession happened during the booomingggg of COVID cases. We were advised to stay in hotels and some were advised to work from home for our safety. That time, we 'OLDIES' stayed in the same hotel. Our company gave us allowance for food and internet. Bongga! Haha. So ayun na nga... Before I got his text about something odd,he also asked me if I could grab a time after work to buy cobra drinks and some snacks for his roommate who happened to become my friend too. Right after my duty, I went to buy the drinks and snacks. I took a picture of the receipt too. (Baka di ako bayaran e). Lol. The Company van drove me to the hotel we're staying in for the meantime. I went directly to their room since the bottles were too heavy. His roommate opened the door for me and get the plastic bags I have in hand. I get inside their room and found him lying on the bed. I thought he's sleeping so I don't bother waking him up. I'm about to go outside their room when he suddenly got up and whispered some words to my ear. I thought he whispered, "Thank you!" So I said, "you're welcome! Maliit na bagay " But he whispered something again, he said "hala di niya narinig, I said I LIKE YOU! " I was surprised! So I asked, are you sure? Okay ka lang? Then after that, he repeatedly mumbled the words 'I LIKE YOU'. I don't know what to say honestly that time. I don't know what to respond. The only thing that comes to mind is the question "Why? Why me? How come?" I just can't believe it happened. It's just so hard to believe. And yes! That's how the confession goes. No butterflies. I don't know where they're hiding that time. Lol. I wrote this article today because it's the 31st too when he confessed. I hope you have fun reading. I apologize too because I am not good enough at writing stories. I am working on it. I can be better soon. God bless us all! 😇 lead image source: https://www.dreamstime.com/illustration/love-confess.html

Our house no longer feels like home. 💔 07|30|2021✨ We're not a broken family but it feels like we are now. *I am working away from home to support my family alone.* *I used to be so excited to go home to visit them during my day-off but now I don't feel like going home anymore. But, don't get me wrong. I love my family. I do.* *My family is my strength and my weakness. They're one of the reason why I am not quitting even in my hardest times. They are my motivation to get up early in the morning and do my job because if I won't, we're all gonna suffer. I will do everything for them. I will always prioritize their needs and wants than mine. That's how much I love them. I am doing my best in everything just to make them happy and proud.* *I was often compared to my classmates and peers before. I honestly hate being compared to someone. My Nanay would always say 'mabuti pa anak ni ano' kesyo daw ganto, ganyan. Everytime I heard those litanya, I would always tell myself "it's okay baka kasi ampon ka lang kaya ganyan or maybe mas gusto nya siguro maging anak yun keysa sa iyo". I never hated my Nanay. I just hated myself. Like, what am I supposed to do to make her proud of me. Why compare me to someone else?* *Worst thing is being compared to your older siblings. I could say that my Nanay's favorite is my Kuya. As in all-time favorite alagaan, basta LAHAT LAHAT. Mas uunahin pa nyang asikasuhin ang kuya keysa sa akin, so sad. Hirap pag middle child uy! Juskopoo.* *No days would passed by without me getting scolded in every little mistake I did.Maybe someone out there could relate. I just remembered that there's this 1 day that I didn't hear any litanya from her "wow himala". It was like a great achievement of my life. Lol.* *Going back to the main topic of the day haha, I graduated. She was so proud. Another achievement unlocked. Oh diba ? She even told me before that I couldn't do it but look at me now. chourrr !* *After graduation, I immediately seek for a job. Luckily I got hired into this company I am currently working now. I got in together with my bestfriend Glyness. I really have a great time working not until...last month.* *Last month, my Tatay visited us. He's staying by the way in Mindanao and my family is here, in Cebu. My parents are okay as far I know not until the day that I got a chance to talk to my Tatay after my work. It broke my heart hearing his shaky voice and bursting into tears. Right that moment, I know there's something bad happening at home.* *My parents we're fighting because of my magaling na brother, myghadddd. And as you know, my Nanay would always take my brother's side. They're fighting over my alcoholic kuya. I heard from my ate that my kuya had gone wild, he took drugs again and I know how bad it would turned out. They became the highlight of our barangay that day. My sister told me that he hit my Tatay "tinadyakan nya po Tatay ko at binato ng semento". I cried out so loud. If only I could do something that day. If ever I could, I know my Nanay wouldn't allow it to happen. I was so stressed. My Tatay asked me if I can send him money to go back to Mindanao. I feel bad for him. He was treated badly like a stranger in our family.* *They're supposed to have fun and have a good time since Tatay is home yet it turned into war. That day onwards I no longer feel like talking to my brother. I no longer contacted them but I still send them money for their needs as always. I couldn't believe that I'm gonna experience all of these. Help me God. I sent my Tatay back to Mindanao and bought a gift for him and a little surprise for Father's day. I hugged him so tight and said " I love you, tay. Mag amping . Love tika. Tawag rako unya". I love my Tatay so much.* *I know every family has its problems. But I admire those who stick together.* *I couldn't finish this. I'm about to cry again. 💔 Allow me to end it here.* *Thank you so much for reading, buds ! Have an awesome day!* Source: https://brokenfamilysite.wordpress.com/2016/03/20/definition-of-a-broken-family/amp/

SME 07|29|2021 ✨ I opened and entered the door of my dream but I left. Good day buds ! Allow me to introduce myself a little before I will gonna share my first ever article. You can call me BC, short for BreadChamp since I happened to become a breadwinner in our family. Please enjoy reading! 💗 Maybe you are wondering what will be this article all about and of why it was entitled "SME". Lemme share to you my one month experience as an SME. The SME (Subject Matter Expert) provides the knowledge and expertise in a specific subject, business area, or technical area for a project. I am a call center agent. In BPO, we have this position called SME. I could still clearly remember my first week of taking calls, I was superdupah GG ,like "gulong-gulo na talaga HAHAHAHA" since I haven't master yet the basic processes. Those days, I love watching all the SMEs assigned in our team. I was so much impressed to the point that I was aiming to become one of them in the future. We were trained to become great customer service representatives. I was really worried during my training because I know how bad my English is. Lol. Good thing we have SMEs. Moving forward, June 4,2021, I celebrated my second anniversary in my first BPO industry last month. So you see, a super bobo in English like me reached 2 years and counting. Lol. Even myself can't believe I surpassed all the challenges in handling irate, elderly and not so tech savvy customers. Few days after my 2nd anniversary, I was asked if I was willing to become an SME because my scores will be qualified as mentioned by my supervisor, and after reading the message notification, I was like " OMG ! REALLY ? YES ! YES ! YES ! I WOULD LOVE TO BECOME AN SME ! " I told my supervisor how I dreamed this special dream haha and now yey ! What a blessing ! After a week of saying "YES" to the opportunity offered, I was informed to report on site because the senior manager approved the application sent by my immediate supervisor. June 22,2021, my first day ! Yay! I took the elevator and stopped at 6th floor. I opened the door without hesitation ! I entered the room full of raising hands - asking for assistance. My first day was full of fun. It was so fulfilling to get the dream you once wish upon a time. There were tons of handsome and beautiful faces behind the mask they're wearing. The newly endorsed agents reminded me of my GG days. There was just a difference between then and now. Before, we can tambay in one area and sampal every katabi while chitchatting our gen friends. Unlike today, we are practicing social distancing so everyone must keep distance even when asking assistance from us. But still, I was so happy and I enjoyed my job as an SME. I become close to my partner supervisor's team in just a couple hours and also to other agents from another supervisors. Aftershift photo with other SMEs on site💗 Here are some of my photos also on site. Mirror selfie 🤳❤️ I love taking selfies ! That is why ! HAHAHAHA Now, let us talk about why I left. You will be wondering again of what would be the reason of leaving and giving up. Our payday is every 10th and 25th of the month. It was my second week on site and the payslip was ready for viewing. After checking my total pay to receive, I was down, like super down down to the ground. I was aware that I can no longer do overtime once endorsed. Maybe because of too much excitement to become an SME, I forgot to think that my pay will be lessen since I can no longer generate OT hours for extra pay. Few days before our payday, I approached my senior manager in our department and begged if there's a way for us SMEs to have an overtime. Unfortunately, I was told that it is impossible to happen since it was declared already. So to cut the story short, I asked my operation manager if I could go back to my previous position wherein I will be taking calls again inorder to generate OT hours. Luckily, they allow me to go back. I explained to them the main reason. It was not just about the money, it's about my responsibility as a breadwinner of our family. The ending of this story might be sad for some but trust me I was so happy in my one month of being an SME. This was the last photo taken before leaving. I never regretted my decision of entering and leaving the door of opportunity that the world once opened for me. I was happy that atleast I was able to experience the life in my dreamland. I hope you have fun reading my article! Enjoy the rest of the day buds ! 💗 Source: https://t20japan.org/task-forces/sme-policy-faced-with-development-of-financial-technology/
