Ecclesiastes 3:11
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end"
Our own lives are meant to fall into that redemption story, and each moment is full of meaning as a result. But, this verse makes clear that we donāt always have a way to understand exactly why God does what he does when he does it. We trust that it is part of his plant of āeternity,ā but we ācan[not] fathomā how. We are left to trust him to have all knowledge and to reveal what he thinks is necessary to reveal. Sometimes even in hindsight, we will not be privy to his plan. But he is good and faithful, and we can rest in him with peace.
Breaking Down the Key Parts of Ecclesiastes 3:11
#1 āHe has made everythingā¦ā
John 1:3 says, āThrough him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.ā God has created all and is in all (Col 3:11). He is behind the way things are and the way they are going to turn out.
#2 āā¦beautiful in its time.ā
A more accurate translation of the word that is translated here as ābeautifulā is āappropriate.ā Everything that happens, happens just when it should happen according to Godās plan. This doesnāt necessarily help to understand why, but it does allow us to trust him and find our ultimate purpose in that.
#4 āyet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.ā
Knowing that God is in control, that everything happens at the appropriate time, and that we are eternal, our actions having eternal significance, does not change the fact that we donāt always understand what God is actually doing and why. Sometimes he reveals himself, but often he is content to leave us with this fact: he does everything for his glory and for our good (Isa 48:9; Ro 8:28).
As Isaiah 60:22 - "When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen."
Means that, God's perfect timing does two things: It grows our faith as we are forced to wait and trust in God and it makes certain that He, and He alone, gets the glory and praise for pulling us through. "My times are in Your hands ..." Psalm 31:15.
Lesson 1: God's timing is always perfect.
God's never early, never late, but always on time. Our timing isn't God's timing. For us, God's timing often feels like a long, desperate delay.
Lesson 2: God's ways are not our ways.
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9.
God has eternal perspective! God is the
Lesson 3: God always has the final say.
No matter how terrible and impossible the situation appears, how awful you feel, or how there appears to be no answer, no help, no hope, God will see you through because He and He alone has the final say.
Our past has changed, because, in God's eyes, we have no past, only a great future.
Wait for the right time āTHE RIGHT TIMEā
As the book of Isaias 60:22 says, āWhen the time is right, I, the Lord will make it happenā
Ecclesiastes 3:11, āHe has made everything beautiful in its timeā¦ā.
So, do not worry about for everything,
Matthew 6:34, āTherefore do not worry about tomorrowā¦ā
Why? Because God has already plans for you,
Jeremiah 29:11, āFor I know the plans I have for you,ā declares the Lord, āPlans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you Hope and a Futureā.
For God wants us to give an abundantly life,
In the book of John 10:10, āthe thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantlyā.
Just believe in your prayer,
For in the book of Mark 11:24, āTherefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yoursā.
Luke 1:37, āIf with God, nothing is impossibleā
Matthew 19:26, āFor with God, all things are possibleā
No matter circumstances in life, donāt be afraid!
As Romans 8:31, āIf God is with us, who can be against us?ā
Philippians 4:13, āI can do all things, through Christ who strengthens meā.
Just remain in Him,
As book of John 15:7, āIf you remain in Me, and my words remains in you, you can ask everything in my Name, and I will do it.ā
