it stopped raining long enough to do some ones garden this morning. Decided to prune a native grass tree, remove all the dead leaves and expose the black trunk. The leaves are long thin and sharp. Pays to wear safety glasses. They used to be called black boys but thats frowned upon these days. It was my first time to prune a grass tree. Decided to add it to my flyer I put on noticeboards. Another way of removing the dead leaves is to set fire to it. Woosh. As long as it is done at the right time of year it does not affect the grass tree. Their natural habitat is bush fire country
