In 2021, London has recorded its worst ever annual death toll from teenage homicides after two boys were killed within an hour of each other in stabbing incidents, bringing the total to 30,exceeding its peak in 2008. Of the 30 teenage homicides in the capital, 27 of them were stabbings while two have been shootings and one was the result of a suspected arson attack.
