Happy and Blessed Friyay everyone! πππΊ It's the 21st of May 2021 and it's a rainy Friyay. Today I will share with you one of our blooms not just on May but anyday blooms. Our Adenium, a genus flowering plant in the family of Apocynaceae and in the same family of Mauritius-hemp. I posted this photo already few months ago with a quote but now I will feature this again for I thought before that I can grow it as easy as cutting and putting directly on the ground or in a pot but I was wrong. I should have cut from the tip of a branch with a clean knife and allow it to dry for a day or two and wet the end and dip in a rooting hormone and stick the cutting into a well draining medium. And speaking of rooting hormone, aloe vera is one simple rooting hormone that we can use. You just need to blend fresh scraped aloe gel with a little water in a clean glass and soak the cuttings until roots will grow. Place the glass away from people or pets and changing water every 3-5 days will help also. And from one of my plant groups I was even told to put some alcohol on the rooting hormone for disinfection. Now, I know.
