It's a gloomy Thursday here and everyone is busy right now especially the students because it's their Christmas party. It's also a payday for most of you, ano? May tira pa ba salary natin diyan? Make sure to eat lechon, hamon, sweets and pastas moderately, ha? Baka mahirapan tayong tumawid sa 2023 eh 😅. And better eat healthy foods first before the parties to make sure you have some sweepers inside your body, like these mushrooms I saw earlier at my brother's lawn. I called this as mushroom rocket because the wood where these mushrooms grow has a pointed end. And I brought this here at our house and ask my mama if these are edible and yes they're eating these before when they can still chew well. They call it "sal-ang" but I'm not convinced so I have posted other pics on Facebook and my former classmate in high school and now an Agriculturist was quick to identify it. It is lentinus tigrinus and uncle google confirmed it as an edible mushroom in the Polyporaceae family. Maybe a family of sal-ang or oyster mushrooms and so if you happen to see these kind of mushrooms, these are edible. But as what the experts (mycologists) say, if you're not sure if it is safe to eat, do not eat. Always ask first someone knowledgeable or a local mushroom expert and check where the mushrooms grow for they can absorb toxins in the area. And usually the poisonous ones turn into green or purple when cut. Happy and Blessed Thursday!
