Star Not for All-Season There you go again, the feeling of being like inside the oven. Christmas feels only lasted for few hours last night after the rain. So now trying to beat the heat with something frozen. My star apple preserved for almost a month still taste fresh haha. We harvested last fruits of it on the third week of April I think and put some inside the freezer. It's not much affected of the temperature outside since brownouts only last for 4-5 hours most of the time. So now, I will eat these all and wait next year if it's their season again. And since we are talking about it, I will share also something healthy with this fruit. Aside that its tree serves as one of our big umbrellas during summer, together with our decades old Tamarind tree which I posted here before. Star apple is very healthy because it is rich in fiber that is good for our digestive system. Rich in antioxidants, Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C, iron, calcium, zinc, protein, potassium, and phosphorus. Wow, indeed a star! Only be careful not to eat much when it's not fully ripe for its milky white flesh contains more latex substance than the ripe one and can cause constipation. Eat Star Apple not for All-Season in moderation.
