It's the 5th day of June and we're 3 months away from the start of the longest Christmas season in the world which begins on September 1. But as we always say, like Holy Day, Valentine's Day, Mother/Father's Day, we should celebrate also Christmas not just on 'BER months' but everyday. We should give love everyday. And I would always love to hear my kababayan tito Jose Mari Chan's song Christmas In Our Hearts for it gives joy to my heart 🎶🎄. And here, I will share with you again a photo of our Poinsettia plant with morning dews. Euphorbia pulcherrima is a flowering leggy shrub about 10 feet high if planted outdoor and rarely grows beyond 1meter if potted. I thought before that these red leaves are its petals but these are actually coloured leaf-like bracts that surround a central cluster of tiny yellow flowers. Poinsettias are in pure white, pink or red to purple, yellow, orange and salmon colors but I only saw yellow and red and we only have red here. Milky latex in stems and leaves can be irritating to persons or animals sensitive to it, but it's not deadly poisonous. (Britannica) And did you know that Poinsettia and Cassava are family? Yes, they both belong to Spurge Family Euphorbiaceae and like cassava it's edible! But we'll talk about that in some other time. A blessed and happy weekend everyone! 🙏💚❤️
