Good Morning/Evening Noise World! ππ Today is May 27, 2021 the last Thursday of the month. The day after the world witnessed the unusual blood moon and 'flower' supermoon since it happens once every several years, depending on where the world you live. A full moon happens once in each lunar cycle for 29.5 days but not every full moon is a supermoon. Supermoon usually happens three or four times a year and lunar eclipses occur two to five times a year. (Google) Seeing a full moon as supermoon and as blood moon at a time is phenomenal and you're really lucky if you saw it with your naked eyes. But don't be sad people statistically, supermoons coincide with blood moons every four to five years. And who knows if God will let you witness that next time. And here, I will share with you my shots few months ago of roselle flower that resembles blood moon and supermoon in colors. Roselle is a species of the hibiscus, family, Malvaceae so family of Chinese Rose or pink gumamela that I featured last time. Roselle or labog leaves here in Visayas can be eaten raw in salads or cooked as greens on meat and tastes similar to spicy spinach with a fruity sourness. And I found out that even these flowers used as garnish for different dishes and even on raw salad leaves. Roselle has lots of health benefits also for it has the ability to increase urination, relief during hot weather, for throat and healing wounds. (medcraveonline.com) And in some studies, they can conclude that roselle like mulberry and other plants were effective for diabetes treatment. So if you have this plant in your garden, it's time to eat for your health.
