The grim reaper Isn't the grim reaper one of the most maligned characters too? I mean, why is he always painted as someone sinister and evil, like the "bad guy" or something. Yes, he's all about death but it's not like he killed us neither will he be the one to judge us. Isn't he neither good nor bad? He isn't even a he, but I'll call him a "He" just for the sake of this writing. His job is to ferry souls in the afterlife. I'd like for someone to guide me in the unknown than be alone haha 😄 if that makes sense - like he's my "taxi cab" in the afterlife. He'll bring me where he is supposed to bring me. But then again, who wouldn't be afraid of a skeletal figure, skull face, shrouded in a black robe, holding a giant sickle. His looks don't help at all aside from the fact that death is already something terrifying to many which the grim reaper represents. And what's with the sickle?! What's in the afterlife that needs an armed usherette? 😂 Well, I know these are all just symbolism. But it feels like we're going to hell when we see the grim reaper.
