Great poets are often times born Into dysfunctional families with Sometimes brutal fathers . Their addiction to drink began early Intensified after growing up Burdened and lost In the oppressive , eccentric Drudgery of the everyday Husds and bustle . They’re helpless cases Often neglected and overlooked Looked in a life pinching needs , And crawling through the dark And narrows. They’re sick of the days , But impatient of the despite Left with no choice but to write Because the voices are loud And no one listens .
