One thing that negates desire is when you believe in others and expect helping hands from them. Those who believes others should be their source of comfort never desire to go above that level.
Such people simply have a mindset that others should do things for them. If you are such person, it's better to forget it because it will be long for you to succeed.
If you are small minded person and you are satisfied with little achievements, you can not succeed. Some people love sitting back to feast on their hard working relatives and forget about working hard to succeed in life, before you know they do much damage to their future.
I know this can't be you.
Believe in yourself that you can make it, if you have a willing mind; that is to say if you believe in yourself, God is committed to see you succeed.
God doesn't reckon with people who doubt His abilities in them, because He is able to do more than people thinks.
There are children born to poor parents but by virtue of their desire to succeed, they engaged in all types of jobs to see themselves through school. Many of this people rise to become someone of importance and successful in the society.
This is the mindset you should have. The popular South African freedom activist Nelson Mandela, who later became first black president in South Africa, fought for it for more than half of his lifetime and he succeeded because he believes in himself and he aspire to attain success.
Once you do not have the mind that you will live off someone, you will do what you need to do to get a good life and be successful.
