Chinese mimosa- Albizia

Albizia (Albizia julibrissin) is a deciduous tree from the mimosa family. Hence the name "Chinese mimosa" which is most often mentioned in the story of this tree. It is also called silk acacia and rain wood. Many names for one plant. All in all, it is about ALBICIA, a very unusual and exotic decorative tree. The tree is most beautiful during flowering, during the summer months. Almost all year round the tree is covered with beautiful pink-purple flowers. They have a mild odor, pronounced anthers and appear in clusters. The fruit of albicans is a pod, 12-18 cm long, which acquires a dark brown color in late autumn and remains on the plant during the winter.

I have this tree in my yard, over 15 years old. When the whole yard blooms, it smells of the fresh scent produced by these beautiful flowers.
