In the Midst of Three female friends, there was one who was not engaged, although she was in a relationship.

The Relationship was already 5 years old and she was earnestly expecting a marriage proposal from her man. There was no doubt to the quality of love in which her Guy was showering her with but all she needed was a proposal, a marriage proposal.

She was left with no choice than to seek an advise from her friends, One suggested that she should stay away from her man for a while in order to know if he truly loves her, The other was partially in support of the idea but since that was the only idea that came up, she had to support it mildly.

So, this lady began to act busy even when she wasn't. Several times she gets called by her man but she usually have the excuses of having much work to do. Deep inside she was craving and missing her man soooo much and it came to a point where she couldn't bear staying away from her man anymore.

She convened with her friends again, this time to tell them that she has been trying so hard to avoid him but he keeps calling and visiting even when she's at work. This time they had to give another suggestion, before they did, they asked her if she has ever acted as if she needed marriage, and the truth is she has always been fronting her business.

They adviced her to act as someone who needed marriage, Go into his home, Make him food, clean the house and the rest of the stuffs at least to show that she's ready to take care of her home if she's married. She eventually bowed to the suggestion and even her man became very surprised and at the same time happy.

One Night, after cleaning up, she prepared something special, decorated the room with candles and petals of roses , it was supposed to be a special night but...

Something happened, Initially everything went well until her man was to go shower when he had a call from his office, his boss called informing him of a mail that was wrongly sent to a client by him. He wasn't at fault actually but it appeared as if he was so, he hurriedly tried to put things right. He flipped his laptop open, started work forgetting that someone was waiting for him in the room.

Seconds turned into minutes and minutes into hours, accidentally he slept off in the sitting room. After waiting so much, she went to the sitting room and found her man sleeping, So Frustrating and annoying you'll say.

It was like things were not working, she got a house key on her birthday when she expected an engagement ring. But deep inside the man's heart he loved her so much and was waiting for the right time.

After some months he finally proposed! It was an awesome experience for her, it was like a dream come true and a reward for her patience.

Though this is a fictional story, I will say kudos to the guy for being a real man. Marriage doesn't happen because a girl looks like it. It happens because a guy made up his mind. No matter how a lady act like needing marriage to a guy, if the guy's mind is not made up nothing ever happened.

@ Bestie Thank God this is a fictional story else I would have asked how in God's name could she be waiting for good five years. When two people genuinely love each other , I don't see any need for a protracted delay in taking nuptial vows. Just my 2 cents.

Man, sorry if you are not a guy. People do it for more than 5 years, even up to 10 years I have seen. They usually think the time is not right for them since they are yet to make the money they want.
