How To Get The Confidence To Do Whatever You Want To Do
Stepping out of our comfort zone or doing something we haven’t done before can be frightened and that’s very normal because we haven’t done what we are about to start before. But it will be very wrong if we decide not to take action because we haven’t done what we are about to start before because of fear. You need to develop the confidence to do whatever you want to do for you to grow in your career or business. But there are certain steps you need to take to build confidence. Which are: 1. Have A Clear Picture Of What You Want To Do: Having crystal clarity about what you want to do will give you confidence that you’re about to achieve a precise thing. You must know the exact thing you want to achieve. This is one of the reasons people don’t do that which they intend to do because they don’t have a clear picture of what they want to achieve. Knowing what you want to achieve will give you the impetus needed for you to strive to achieve that you want to achieve. 2. Address Your Fears: Know what is stopping you from doing that which you want to do. Ask yourself “what are you afraid of precisely? Is it fear of making mistakes, fear of looking stupid, fear of what people will say or fear of embarrassing yourself. Try to write down the precise fear that is stopping you from taking action and ask yourself “what is the least that can happen if you take action? By doing that you’ll realize that you won’t die if you take action. 3. Have Compelling Reasons: You must have a strong reason why you want to achieve that goal, make the reasons strong enough that it will drive you to take action even though you don’t feel like. Will what you want to get, give you influence or affluence or will it move you towards your purpose in life. Let the reasons for what you want to achieve drive you to take the necessary steps to achieve it. 4. Strategy: You must know how you intend to achieve your goals. Design a plan that will make what you want to achieve look easy. Simplify your plans that you’ll be able to act on what you want to achieve now. 5. Act on your fear: Your Fears won’t leave because you say or desire to start something, but your fears will disappear when you take action despite being afraid. It’s when you take action despite being afraid you’ll realize that what you’re scared of isn’t as scary as it looks. The only way you’re going to be committed to fighting your way through your fears, real or imagined, is if you’re committed to the goal itself. Hope you learnt something?
