DENGUE Fever: 4 Herbal Treatments

Herbal plants for DENGUE FEVER. So far there are no known treatment for dengue. Dengue is known to cause internal bleeding , intense fever, shock and eventual death if not treated properly. Treatment is only intravenous fluid,but herbal plants are widely used in some countries as anti -dengue treatment because of its anti viral effect. 1.Papaya leaves---WHO identifies 23 countries who use papaya as antiviral treatment for swelling and bleeding of liver and other organs.Papaya leaves contains papain ,lycopene and carotene which has an anti-inflammatory function thus increasing platelet count in situ .

Procedure: Boil 1 glass of papaya leaves and 1 glass of water in equal amount for 5 minutes strain it.Put 2 tablespoon brown sugar plus honey .Dosage : for adults take 1/2 Glass 3 times a day for 1 week.Pediatric dose :1 teaspoon every 6 hours. 2.Tawa-Tawa---(euphorbia hirta) it contains coumarin and sterol ,and is known to increase platelet count and arrest bleeding .Also used in other countries as anti viral treatment.

Dosage: same as in papaya. 3.Turmeric---(luyang dilaw) also known as anti viral,anti inflammatory effect of the body. 4.Guava leaves----Contain tannins high in vit.c it arrest some enzymes causing bleeding and swelling of organs thus increases platelet count.
