Challenges Encountered by the Public sector regarding Retention of Workers In today's globalized and competitive world, one of the major concerns of every workplace is retaining employees for long periods of time. In developing and underdeveloing countries, private sector institution is more susceptible to this problem as compared to the government sector. *****Reasons why employees prefer to choose government sector jobs?***** I observed, people always prefer working in the government sector. Firstly, the government pays a ***handsome amount*** in form of a monthly salary. Second, the public sector also allows ***special holidays***. Thirdly, the government also gives public holidays, ***yearly holidays*** as well as other like, if someone wants to go abroad during her employment government gives leave for 2 years. In addition for female employees, ***maternity leaves*** are also allowed. The public sector mostly gives ***paid leaves*** this is I guess the best thing that fascinates employees. Another major benefit of having a government job is that you can enjoy a ***pension*** after ***retirement***. *****Why the Private sector faces issues of employee retention?***** On the other hand, the private sector has a ***limited budget***. Firstly, it fails to provide all the benefits that are provided by public sector organizations. Secondly it offers ***limited salary***. Thirdly, the ***chances of growth*** are less in the private sector. In addition, it also fails to allow ***paid leaves.*** The employee of the public sector also ***fears of termination***. There is no ***pension culture*** in these types of organizations. *****Strategies to retain employees*****; If the organization implements on ***performance-based reward system***, the employees will more likely to stay for a long time. Another important strategy that can assist the private sector in retaining employees is ***empowering them***, giving them enough opportunity to take their own decisions. Involving people in the ***decision-making procedure*** is also an important strategy. *****Conclusion:***** The public sector should pay attention to this area and work to implement effective strategies to retain people. Will apply in Qau too. But my scope is limited there because there is no department for genetics I also got a chance to serve as a lecturer at a university but due to some personal reasons, even after receiving an appointment letter I failed to serve for more than a day
Oh that's very bad you know it is really putting my heart on that people who are educated they are not getting jobs
The employment rate is so low in our country.....unfortunately
