Some strange things happen, but for someone to hit a tree in the middle of the desert, which is simply unbelievable. A monument was erected on the site of the loneliest tree in the world. Unfortunately, one day in 1973, a Libyan truck driver sat drunk for steering wheel, and raced down the desert trail until he finally veered off the road… and crashed into a single tree that could be found within a 400 km radius - L'Arbre du Ténéré - the most isolated tree in the world.
