Colorful icebergs are just this ostrich work of an artist rather than Mother Nature and how they are created. Blue streaks often form when a crack in the ice fills with water and freezes so quickly that oxygen bubbles do not form. Green streaks are formed when cracks are filled with salt water, and brown, black and yellow when a glacier ‘picks up’ pieces of land or rock on its way to the sea.
